This place does that. There's a girl here who says she went to find me in another twenty years, as if I'm in exile. But Han doesn't remember anything after Cloud City.

Makes sense, since you look to be not much older than the first time I saw you at Jabba's. I didn't think you'd use a Force illusion again unless things were dire and I don't get a dire sort of feeling here.

So. This is awkward.

At Jabba's? I thought he was dead.

I guess it is. I didn't think I'd ever get married. The Jedi Order is more important than that.

He is, and has been for the past twenty years thanks to your sister.

Not so much changed as evolved, I think. We're both Jedi Masters, and we help with the training of others. Married and Jedi aren't mutually exclusive things.

Then there's no First Order? No new Resistance?

I've never heard of those before. There's the New Republic, with your sister as High Councillor and former President. The last remnants of the Empire were folded in after the surrender a year ago.

My sister is a General in the Reistance. The First Order rose up from the ashes of the Empire.

Or so they tell me.

Your future, what if it's different then their future? Then which one is mine?

Not that Leia as a general surprises me, and if things had gone differently...she's got that tactical mind. I can definitely see it. But where I'm from, the Empire was limping along at best for the last decade or so. They had a close call in rising to power about five years after Palpatine died, then again a few years ago. Now there are only fringe pockets here and there.

What is the last thing you did where you're from? Maybe that will help us determine it.

We'd raided an Imperial Base on Vetine. There was a rumour they had the Force tree there, a remaining part of the one from Coruscant.

The mission was mostly successful. We escaped with the saplings.

Huh. Well, if it helps, none of that is familiar to me, and I've never heard of any sort of Force tree on Coruscant. You never told me about any trips to Vetine, either. That's not a part the Luke I know's life.

So there's that.

Strange doesn't begin to cover this. And I can't imagine it's any easier to meet a wife you've never met.

At least some things are the same. You're forever worrying about the path you're on. Ironically enough, the only times you didn't worry about it were the ones you flirted with danger. Trust your instincts, Luke. They've always served you well when you listen to them.

You sound like Ben. Obi-wan. He always said to listen to my instincts too and he was usually right.

I can't think of a higher compliment. If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were trying to influence my decision to take on Jaina as my apprentice....and since you probably don't know who that is, I know you're not.
