I wasn't going to blast him for any dark side feelings. More because he was being insulting, in a Han and Lando sort of way.

I think we've both had our moments of restraint in that regard, especially in the early days when he found out that I planned to kill you at the first opportunity. Then I helped take out the squad sent to kidnap Leia and the twins. He was a little less likely to glare at me after that.

The twins were the real target and, yeah, that doesn't end much better. The side bonus was the squad fingering me for letting them into the palace to discredit anything I might have told the New Republic.

You believed me. Even then. When I still thought my only desire in the universe was to kill you.

About five years after the Emperor died.

It changed when I finally confronted his last command to me. He'd reached out to me, during those last few minutes on the second Death Star; he showed me a lie and commanded me to avenge him. Years later, on a planet called Wayland, I was able to lay that command to rest when I killed your clone before it could kill you.

How's that strange meter now, hmm?
