[...That's a new one. 'Sarrasri' means something back home, and much as she tells herself she's proud to be named after Ma, she doesn't expect other folk to see things that way. Only bastards are named for their mothers. She opens her mouth, then shuts it, cheeks coloring.]

No. [ he blinks at her. then turns his head away abruptly, afraid she might see his eyes. it's strange behavior for geralt. usually he couldn't give a shit. ]

[Well, this is awkward. It doesn't seem like he's lying to her, but she doesn't know what to do with the honest compliment. She feels a bit like she's made some sort of embarrassing misstep in front of a bunch of nobles. Her blush worsens.] Thank you.

[She almost asks who 'Jesus' is. The way she's saying it, she makes him (her?) sound like a god. That's just what she needs - another god meddling in her affairs.]

Well, I'm fair certain I'm lost. [She gives their vague surroundings a pensive frown.] Is this a dream? I s'pose that would explain a few things.

[She gives her doppelganger a look of newly-minted suspicion, hands akimbo.] If you're the Graveyard Hag, you might as well show yourself proper. I've had enough of your tricks.

That makes two of us. [But it's no small relief to have him here, and not trapped on the wrong side of a mage-bubble or somesuch.] I'm fine. Aside from not knowing where I am or how I got here.

[Daine blinks owlishly back, distracted by an odd sensation from her magic. It feels a bit like immersing herself in cold saltwater, but without actually getting wet. She resists the urge to squirm. There's a conversation happening. Focus.]

Oh. I think I know who you mean. [Unless there's a third girl with her face running around, which she hopes there's not.] Does that happen a lot?

Her name's Ellie. ...Wears a lot of plaid?

And...yeah, actually. It's unnerving, but you get used to it. It's like identical twins, I guess? You can usually tell people apart.

We ought to be fair easy to tell apart. [Daine gives one of her curls a pointed tug. Her hair isn't going to behave itself anytime soon.] But it's still strange.

[Well, strange for her. Twins aren't a new concept, though, and she raises her eyebrows as a new thought occurs to her.] Do folk ever swap places? What if you can't tell them apart?

[smiles] That, and the accent. It is, though.

Huh. Well, if I can't tell them apart, I suppose I don't know if they've swapped places. That'd be fun, though, if you were doing the swapping.

One of my friends did something like that, years ago. She pretended to be her twin so she could become a knight. Girls weren't allowed.

[Not that she'd expect Alanna to describe the whole ordeal as 'fun.']

Oh--and I'm Daine. [Where are her manners? She should've introduced herself sooner. She gives her head a little shake, then belatedly holds out a hand.] I'm from Tortall, and Galla before that... though I'm not sure that means much, here.
