Entry tags:
[meme] Test Drive
Tag into this post with characters you're thinking of apping to the game (characters who are not currently in-game or currently reserved by someone else). It can be just a tag, a brief EP, a blurb about the character, a line of dialogue, or whatever you want. You can be new to the game, or simply want to test out a fresh pup. Tag each other with these characters or those already in game, and have fun.
Also, please include the name of their canon somewhere in or on the comment or on their profile page.

My mother was a clever one. The circumstances are rather laughable, considering.

The name. My mother, rest her soul, is the most amazing woman I've ever met.

Got a mind to share? I've got two ears that aren't busy with anything else.

About my mother? She was an insurance agent, and Welsh, extraordinarily kind. When I fell ill as a child she did everything she could for me, protected me without holding me back unduly. And she was never afraid, even of things she probably should have been.

I take it you got over it eventually. You don't smell ill.
no subject
Your own mother?
It's not the sort of thing that goes away, unfortunately. But I've learned how to live with it.

Tried everything to get rid of it? Alchemy? Potions?
no subject
Oh, that's a lovely name.
Oh yes. So many potions. Alchemy is a bit out of the question as it's rather inaccessible.

Sorry to hear that. You're too young for that. Couldn't help, anyway. Not my skillset. Witcher's not in the business of curing illness.

Witcher? Is that a person, or an occupation?

Interesting. And you're a Witcher? Does that come with the sort of magical abilities you'd expect from a warlock? And what sorts of monsters do you hunt?
no subject
The monster kind. Got two swords. Silver for magical creatures, vampires, wraiths, leshy. Steel for humans. But both kill monsters, if you take my meaning.
no subject
I do, yes. The magical creatures, is your determinism of their status of a monster based on what they are, or how they conduct themselves?

Answer your question?
no subject
It does, thank you. I've found people like to distill things down to basic black and white definitions, but everything has grey areas. I'm comforted to know you might speak to a dark creature (or attempt to) before striking them down out as a matter of course.

I prefer to think it's a matter of responsibility, plain honesty and professional ethics.
Or maybe I'm just too used to seeing hate.
no subject
Hate is unfortunately prevalent. Unfounded fear, as well. I'm no stranger to either.

[ a tilt of his head in the right direction shows that geralt's eyes are the amber of a cat's with vertical pupils, and reflect light, like an animal's. ]

[Remus blinks, surprised by the revelation considering what he’s been told about witchers.]
I should have guessed when you talked about trying to smell illness on me. But you assumed correctly; I’m not conventionally ill. I suspect we may be afflicted with similar conditions.

No transformation, though. Just what you see.
no subject
Ah. Are the mutations in order to give you enhanced strength and the like?
We do have one thing in common; neither of us were given a choice about what we were made to be. I was five years old when I was bitten.
no subject
Shouldn't have happened to you. Too damn young. I was nine when the Trials started. Twelve when they finished. Had the eyes since then. Hair, too.
