Vader had me start the Rebellion. He wanted me to gather the Empire's enemies to distract the Emperor, so that Vader and I could then destroy him and take his place. Only it was all a lie, the Emperor was in on it and it was just a trick to gather his enemies in one place so he could defeat them. So the fact that that came back to destroy them? Yeah I'm happy about that.

I'm not saying I disbelieve you. Today, I've heard a great deal that makes me wonder about histories that are true for some and not for others.

So in my world maybe the Emperor was never defeated.

I wouldn't presume to know. But in my memory, he was defeated. By Vader.

Then who defeated Vader? Or was it mutual destruction?

I will admit, it was buried very deep. I nearly died getting him to see it.

No, it's- there's anger there I'm trying to get past. I used to hate him but I think now I just pity him.

I understand, believe me, I do. My feelings have always been difficult when it comes to Vader.

No. He became Vader shortly before my birth.
