[meme] Test Drive

Tag into this post with characters you're thinking of apping to the game (characters who are not currently in-game or currently reserved by someone else). It can be just a tag, a brief EP, a blurb about the character, a line of dialogue, or whatever you want. You can be new to the game, or simply want to test out a fresh pup. Tag each other with these characters or those already in game, and have fun.

Also, please include the name of their canon somewhere in or on the comment or on their profile page.

Oenomaus? *he laughs* Is there work the man will not do himself? I cannot see it.

*immediately is a little unsure, as they never refer to doctore in such a way*

He is an excellent doctore. He brings great glory to the ludus.

His mind set to purpose cannot be swayed. *He sees the unsure look and shakes his head* I knew him as Oenomaus far longer than as doctore. He and I stood as brothers.

I have only heard stories from others. Doctore does not speak much of his time in the arena except as means of teaching.

There was a Gaul there when I left - Crixus. Has he risen to prominence or does he stand on the shores of the afterlife?

*smiles, a little* He defeated Theokoles, with the gladiator Spartacus by his side.

But... Spartacus now stands champion. Crixus lays with the medic, we know not for how long.

Theokoles? That would have been a glorious death. I have heard tale of the Bringer of Rain. Would that I could test skill against him.

Crixus has taken the pleasure from you. I'm sure he would give apologies were he here.

I expect no apology from the Gaul. Crixus once longed to prove himself against me in what he called fair contest.

Was an opportunity ever granted to him? How did he fair?

Nearly so. In a primus match, the victors from each previous fight were to face each other in a ring of fire to determine the ultimate champion. It was down to myself, Crixus, and one of Solonius's men. With that man still standing, Crixus thought to charge me. I knocked him out of the circle and killed the man myself, becoming champion of Capua. I was awarded my freedom that night. Crixus never had the chance to face me again, as he so wished.
