[meme] reverse questions

Muns: Post here listing all of the characters you play (you might want to list journals, too, just for reference) or are thinking of playing.

Everyone: Ask the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR PUPS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this pup?", "How do you channel them?", etc.) You can even have pups ask the questions, but ANSWERS are coming from the MUNS.

How is Constance adjusting to modern life?

She's adjusting! That's the long and short of it. It's a huge leap for her, obviously, and there's a lot she's still wary of. And that's not just the technology. Modern mores are difficult for her in many ways, and it's not that she disapproves. It's just that Constance is so extremely cautious by nature and she wants to be sure of things and she wants to be practical, and she knows that she could very easily be returned home at any moment. This leaves her pulled two ways. Some days she's afraid to take advantage of the modern world, not wanting to get used to something she might soon leave behind. Other days, she wants to embrace every last bit of it and enjoy it while she can.

One thing that is constant, though, and which I have failed at addressing in game so far, is that she didn't really have cause to know how to read or write when she came to Darrow. She's fairly good with figures, but writing was beyond her. Now she helps the boys in their office and she has a chance to be educated, so she's trying very diligently to learn both though she also doesn't want to call attention to the fact that it's still something she's learning.

Then the biggest leap she's taking in adjusting would be divorce. Porthos did some research for her and now Constance knows she can get a no-fault divorce from Bonacieux in his absence, and she's pursuing that. It's... daunting. She wants the freedom, even knowing it might be short-lived, but obviously divorce is a big scary no-no for a 17th century Catholic woman and she's trying to reconcile that with knowing what she needs for herself, and that's sort of the crux of the whole modern thing? There's so much she likes and wants, and she's gradually learning how to let herself have it.
