HOW ABOUT A FRIDAY NIGHT MEME?
Muns: Post here listing all of the characters you play (you might want to list journals, too, just for reference) or are thinking of playing.
Everyone: Ask the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR PUPS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this pup?", "How do you channel them?", etc.) You can even have pups ask the questions, but ANSWERS are coming from the MUNS.

Oh, I totally think Mina realized it quite early on -- Peter never did, and Mina at the time was rather too soft-hearted to even try to disillusion him, but it didn't take her very long to realize that he didn't love their mother. And it all sort of built from there.
(And, well -- stuff. And things.)

For picking up from context that her parents' marriage was a very bad joke? Nine, or so.

Not at that time, but not all that long after. They -- were kind of obvious.

Keep on keeping on if you have more questions! And yes; she didn't know why, but honestly, Vanessa must have thought she was stupid. (That, actually, may rankle more than anything else. A lot of people have assumed Mina was stupid. She thought Vanessa knew her too well for that.)
She would have pushed the issue, but she -- well -- was a little frightened by the way she felt about Vanessa, at the time.

How did she feel about Vanessa. Since you brought it up. ;)

There probably was a time when Mina didn't think innocence and stupidity were pretty much synonymous. That time is not now. <3
Confused. Wanting. Possessive. And not a little frightened, both by how different it was than anything she'd felt before and by the absolute dead certainty that she wasn't supposed to.

I assume she isn't frightened or confused anymore?

Not even slightly. She wants. It's very -- pure. Straightforward.

That too!
I SHOULD ASK YOU MORE OF THE THINGS. Let me think let me think! Well. How is Vanessa going to feel about realizing that Mina wanted her?

Eeeee yesgood.
Does Vanessa love Malcolm? If so, does she know she does?

Ok. She has always loved him. When she was a child she loved him the way you love someone bigger than life. She thought he hung the stars. He was the most wonderful, most vibrant, most dynamic thing in the universe and she couldn't NOT love him. Especially because he was absent so much of the time so he wasn't around to let the reality of him break that spell. And also because he doted on her like mad. After the hedge maze she loved him differently. He was no longer this perfect ideal, but he was the sexual ideal. He was what sex meant to her. What it was to be a man, ya know? Fast forward to the demon possession and all the things the demon whispered to her and she came to see who he truly was, thus the "weak, foul, lustful, vainglorious man" thing. But she still loves him. She loves him in an adult way. Not the child's love she used to have for him. She loves him because he is all she has left in the world, really, and because she KNOWS him and because you don't stop loving a father when you've come to understand he is also just a man. But it's love, not like. She doesn't LIKE the man he is. But she loves him.
Does any of that make sense?

It makes HEARTBREAKING sense.
