Anyway. This place sounds like quite the challenge to me. When exactly did you leave our reality, and can we at least determine that it was at some point the same for the both of us?

I am the one uncomfortable discussing the concerns at hand immediately. However, I recognize that they are concerns which do need to be discussed immediately, so as you are not marginalized, or 'led on.'

We, the current crew of the Enterprise, had left Federation Space on a short mission, after the repair of the Enterprise, which was damaged during the attack on Starfleet by the Romulan criminal known as Nero.

His last words are the equivalent of salt in a fresh wound, and Uhura has no plans of tolerating them. But reacting in the way that she'd like would go back on her promise earlier not to strike Spock, and she doesn't want to give anyone the satisfaction of witnessing her demanding attitude.

If there comes a point when she can be a good contributor to whatever research she's sure they're conducting, she'll offer her service. Until then, she turns on her heel to leave, biting her lip against the uncomfortable warmth in her eyes.
