Merry Christmas (and happy birthday to Angel). We hope each and every one of you, whether you celebrate the holiday or not, have a wonderful day and an even better new year. You're all so very dear to us, and we love you very much.
And now let's get to gift giving! If you want to, today is the day to throw off your capes and masks and reveal your true identities! Or to keep your recipient guessing and slip off into the night, forever mysterious! It's also a day of celebration for all. Didn't play this year? Have something for someone who wasn't assigned to you? Doesn't matter, have at it! Spread cheer willy nilly and shower each other with love and presents. Today is a free-for-all and anything goes.
NOTES: Passwords for various uploading sites, galleries, the game anon account, etc., are available here. For those of you who'd like to play around with some Photoshop but don't have access, Pixlr is a fantastic online alternative that comes close. And remember, if you're posting pictures, they won't show up in an anonymous comment, so for those kinds of comments, it's better to use thecitysecrets account.

See, I have a couple of ideas, but really, it's your Christmas gift and I want to give you just what you want. Is it time for that opposing bands fic? Maybe a sapphic twist on Hades and Persephone? Or how about just a simple New Year's Eve midnight kiss? Hell, we could even put a spin on canon itself (you know Victor Hugo would be for it). Are we talking friends to lovers? Enemies to lovers? Just plain lovers? Unresolved tension? Slow burn? THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED???? Or do you just wanna toss me a poem or song you like for them and see what happens from there? Hit me up with your request, as vague or specific as you like (must include X and Y, but definitely not Z), and I'll make it happen. I'll even endeavor not to take a million years about it. Can you believe there were no pre-made cross stitch patterns for Merry Shitscram? I found a site that has a decent free pattern maker, though I modified this and the other one (I THOUGHT THE LY COVER WOULD BE SIMPLE DX I'M SORRY). Also, enjoy a few more points and all my love.

I was very happy when I got my assignment, because you are one of my favorite people that I’ve met this year. I’m glad that I at least get to say hello to you in chat most days. Long may we continue to enable each other's terrible jokes.
I’m also happy I get to thread Rosie and Julie. Rosie is a delight, and sort of the little sister Julie never knew she wanted. I look forward to much more in the future.

In the meantime, because I like to keep it weird, and because I figure you've probably got a better handle on the period-appropriate music than I do, I've put together a playlist of contemporary songs for a couple of displaced, pining kids from the '40s, whom I love like burning.
Despite some insomnia-related difficulties on my end, I have loved being your Santa this year, as well as chatting and threading more lately. Since I was trying not to be too obvious with kudos the other night, I can add now that I seriously could not have asked for a better Donny for my Julia. I really was not expecting anyone to ever bring him, and he's perfect, and you have been a blast to write off.

I’ve got a terribly nerdy little Xmas present for you too. A period holiday playlist put together with them in mind. Heavy on the pining, swing and jazz, but not a Frank Sinatra in sight. I tried to keep it as pre-1946 as possible, but some things slipped through. There’s lots of standards, a few oddities, and even a polka or two in honor of the accordion genius.
