Entry tags:
[meme] test drive
Tag into this post with characters you're thinking of apping to the game (characters who are not currently in-game or currently reserved by someone else). It can be just a tag, a brief EP, whatever you want. You can be new to the game, or simply want to test out a fresh pup. Tag each other with these characters or those already in game, and have fun.
Also, please include the name of their canon somewhere in or on the comment or on their profile page.

[Newt enters slowly, taking in the frankly magnificent insides of what he assumed was merely a phone booth.]
This must be some sort of magic.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

A very interesting philosophy. And one that would certainly cause a stir of debate.

[The hologram disappears (she's hardly gonna talk through the face of Clarke), and instead, accompanied by an inquisitive ping, a picture of Merlin appears on the monitor.]

Oh, er. Hello?

Do you need help with something? How can I help?

[Still, she'd try anything at this point. The previous images disappears, and some text appears on the screen instead, flashing insistently.]
PILOT MISSING

Your pilot is missing? The one who...drives you? Or flies you?
Do you want me to help find your pilot?

LOCATE PILOT
[Is that a good enough affirmation? She can never tell.]
Re: Doctor Who
Well hullo.
[He pauses, then knocks twice, politely.]

He is the Pendragon, he reminds himself, steeling, and has nothing to fear. He pushes the door open.]
Hello? Oh--- Oh.
[It is bigger on the inside. So much bigger that it baffles. Somehow, he was not expecting it. And so much different, bigger, more beautiful than it might ever look on television, as though the television is just a poor make-believe version just the way it might be of King Arthur. Perhaps it is.]
If this is a TARDIS, where's the Doctor, then?

[She nudges gently at his mind, just surface-level, not enough for him to notice, but enough for her interest to be suddenly piqued (and flattered -- she always appreciates being admired).]
[He might know her, but she knows something of him too. There's a ping, and the screen above the console now shows information about King Arthur. The one from her universe, though, not his.]

[The console chirps sadly, and Bran starts. Speaking to him, she is, and he puts his hands on the console gently.]
You're alone here too. I'm sorry. I have a friend, Will, who was supposed to be with me, too, but you can see how that's turned out, now.
[The hologram appears and he gapes, then laughs.]
How did you -- !! Yes, that's my father. Well, a story of him. I was hidden away in another place and time, and so I am a Davies, just as much as any Pendragon...but a Pendragon as much as a Davies, too, I suppose.
[He pauses. Space and time.]
You can't take us away from here, can you? It's only, there's a terrible evil that it's important I help fight.

[At his question however, she gives a error sound, and the screen shows..]
TEMPORAL MALFUNCTION
VORTEX INACCESSIBLE
[Followed by extensive information in circular Gallifreyan.]

[Pleased to have a friendly Time Lord mind inside her again however, the TARDIS can overlook that for the moment. Even if she can't answer Romana's question. The console makes a sad bwarp sound, and Gallifreyan text appears on the monitor.]
PILOT MISSING

[Looking around, Romana orients herself to the different surroundings.]
I see, we've changed the desktop again? I rather like this. It's nice. Console is a bit cluttered, but I can make do.
[She frowns at the message on the screen. That isn't information she wants to receive.]
I am not replacing him, for one, he'd never let me hear the end of it. And, I suspect, neither would you. We shall have to find him then. Can't be that difficult. Where and when did you last see him?
