Neither did I, Watson Minor. But the the whole sorry affair seems far too improbable and unlikely at this point to merit further conversation. So shall we move to a topic that has less opportunity for similar unpleasant revelations to present themselves?

So in the future they're able to tie criminals to a crime scene with just about any bits of blood or hair or anything that has their DNA.

But what is DNA?

Deoxyribonucleic acid. It's basically a unique blueprint for all living things.

Say that I have accepted this strange predicament we find ourselves in. Say that we accept magic exists here in this little universe. How do we know that is the real Holmes?

By observing him and talking to him to discern whether or not he is who he says he is?

Then we get a DNA sample and compare it to yours.
