[meme] Darrow 2 Test Drive
This is a twist on our standard Test Drive!
Tag into this post with characters you're planning to play during Darrow 2 plot. It can be just a tag, a brief EP, whatever you want. This is the place to practice those rusty voices and solidify the backstories and personalities of alternates. While none of this counts in-game, this is also a good place to practice interactions between Darrow 2 residents who might already have preexisting connections.
Remember, players have first dibs on their own current and dropped characters, so please don't tag in with alternates of someone else's pup unless you've gotten full permission from them first.
Also, please include the name of their canon somewhere in or on the comment or on their profile page, and if you'd like, you can also include a blurb about the character somewhere in the tag or on their profile page.
This post will be open as long as it needs to be, so don't feel like you're tagging in too late!

Derek's eyes light up at the man's reaction, and he finds that he doesn't quite want him to leave. He slides his glasses off of his face and sets them on top of his stack of papers before pushing them to the side and gesturing almost shyly to the seat across from him.
"As long as you'll sit down and have one with me," Derek replies, flushing a little himself at his boldness. "If you have the time, of course."

The danishes are meant for Detective Peretti, and Barry feels conflicted for all of a moment before he decides that this is a much better use of them. "I have twenty minutes before I'm due back at the station," he says, placing his other coffees on the table to take the opposite chair. "Are you a teacher?" he asks of the papers.

"Well, I'm honored that you would choose to spend those minutes with me," Derek replies with a warm smile, looking delighted when the man sits down. He wishes that he had more than a few minutes, but he supposes that he will just have to do his best to make those minutes count.
"Oh, not really. Not yet," Derek replies, looking over at the mess of papers slashed with red next to his empty coffee cup and glasses. His blazer with the tweed elbow patches is slung across the chair, with a brown leather messenger bag on top of that. He supposes that he does give off a very teacher-like vibe. "I'm a grad student at the university, and I TA for a few classes. I hope to be one someday soon, though."
He cocks his head curiously, reaching blindly for his pastry so that he doesn't have to take his gaze off of such a beguiling face. "Station. The police station?"
