[it's just confirming what he knew was true, but he waits to see the confirmation anyway. The bubble disappears when he sees the nod and he just looks plain relieved.]

Whew, I don't know how I got here, but I sure am glad I did. [he pauses, looking at the girl, who he smiles his usual bright smile at a moment later] Hi, I'm Steven. Sorry if I startled you! [he doesn't exactly remember landing. He hopes he didn't do it near her.]
