[Daine fiddles with the claw around her neck, shoulders hitching in a shrug.] The Badger wouldn't meddle without saying something. Or showing himself, at least. I don't think this was his idea. And this doesn't look like any of the realms we've visited before.

[There's a brief, troubled silence, then Daine's tone takes on a more determined edge.]

Any clever ideas as to how to get back home? Elsewise I'll have to come up with something stupid.

Nothing clever yet, but it's only been a minute. You know I take a little more time than that. Don't worry, magelet. I'll think of something. I know you don't like to sit tight but that might be our only option just this moment.
