Given that it is now mid-year and that many of us seem to have been having a rough time of it lately, now seems like an excellent time for a kudos meme. Tag in character, as yourself, or even anonymously if you prefer! Just spread the love, y'all. ♥

So there's this thing where you always say that your Ronan isn't that great or something,
and this is where I pull a Blue and am kind but not nice
SIT DOWN AND STFU FOR REAL FRIEND

Your Ronan is beautifully, wonderfully fucked up and loving and vulnerable and alone and dependent and he carries all of these things in such a complex, nuanced way and that is all down to you. When I was reading TRK, I thought of you quite a few times, and even though that Ronan is a much more open Ronan than yours, it could be the same one, if that makes sense? Your Ronan has been through some completely different things, and has been alone more than any of the others, and through some hell, and that isn't erased by being with his friends and I'm glad you don't erase it.

Ronan and Kavinsky often get chosen as foils, but Ronan and Blue are alike in ways the others aren't; I think in more ways than are immediately visible (not half because they're both clearly halves of Maggie, but). I'm not great at playing my Blue both IC and angry, it's one of my weak points with Blue tbh, but when she's playing against Ronan it's easy, because your Ronan is SO perfectly -- Ronan.

And not just angry, of course. Blue shines around her canonmates because you guys write so amazingly and it's easy.

I really look forward to developing these two and seeing their friendship blossom, and I'd love to thread them more <3 any of mine, of course, but particularly them.

Oh my god, I don't even know what to DO with this. These words mean so, so much to me, Faye. Thank you. I'll admit, I had some difficulty seeing MY Ronan while reading TRK because he is so far removed thanks to when I pulled him from canon. He hasn't gone through the same shit as the others and he DID have those months where he was completely alone. I think that had more of an effect on him than even I was really aware of at the time.

It means so much that you can still see him though and I'd like to think that hopefully, in time, he'll GET to the point where he's more like TRK Ronan. More open and a little warmer. He's at least reached a point where he accepts himself as NOT a monster and that is so, so key for him.

But yes, please, to ALL the Blue/Ronan threads. They need to hang.
