Given that it is now mid-year and that many of us seem to have been having a rough time of it lately, now seems like an excellent time for a kudos meme. Tag in character, as yourself, or even anonymously if you prefer! Just spread the love, y'all. ♥

Kate Gregson

Thomas loves and adores Kate so much. He looks up to her and thinks she's incredibly intelligent in ways that he isn't. I like that she's still brash and outspoken but also super duper compassionate and caring.

Kate will forever and always be one of my favorite parts of the games you've played her in. She can be so fun and funny but also completely real when things start to go so crazy. It's been such a treasure to see her grown over the years you've played her but still be very much Kate. Her progression as a person has seemed so natural in the game and I love all the choices you've made with her. It's pretty apparent that you love the character and everything you do with her seems like you put your heart and soul in it and it's a real treat for the rest of us to get to experience that.

Her conversations with Jax are still some of the threads I read most fondly. They were so well matched in the places where they were wise and it made for such a great CR.

My goodness. There can be no RP without your Kate Gregson in it. It just wouldn't feel complete.

I remember Kate from the early days, and it is absolutely breathtaking to see how far she's come, how every step along the way has been so organic and real and natural. She has grown so much, and I feel this sense of wonder and pride whenever I get to read more of that (which makes no sense because I have no right to be proud of her, except I feel like I do, I feel like I've watched a girl turn into a woman). You've taught her lessons, sometimes the hard way, but each one has made her stronger and a more thoughtful, compassionate person — which she always had in her, but hasn't always had the opportunity to explore as fully as she does now.

And I think what makes it so remarkable is that she hasn't lost any of that energy that is uniquely Kate. I feel like I could pick up any of the threads she's currently in, show it to someone who watched the original canon, and they'd be able to recognize Kate in everything. Her voice, her motivations, her silly moments and her strong ones, all of them continue to be on point. She is always a treasure.

UGH PERFECT KATE. After all these years, her voice is still SO strong. I'm amazed by her progression, how much she's grown and how she's still so fundamentally the same person. Like, you know. Like REALITY. We all grow a bit, hopefully for the better, but we don't change personalities and Kate is still so KATE.

I'm so SO glad she and Bitty get along so well, too. He's absolutely delighted by her and loves how easily she makes him laugh. I was a bit worried they'd have no reason to talk once Bitty's relationship with Derek changed, but I'm so so glad that hasn't been the case. Ugh, I love her. I love that I get to play off her. She's WONDERFUL.

Kate, how much do I love thee? Let me count the ways! No but seriously Kate is absolutely perfect and worth writing a hundred sonnets for. You play her so well and let all aspects of her personality shine bright. She's such a vibrant character and I love getting to see her develop in Darrow. She is one of my favorite things about Darrow as a whole, and that is certainly thanks to you. Her friendship with Marius is one of the best things that's happened and I love how far they've come from when Kate intially scandalized the bejesus out of Marius. XD

Getting to write and play with you has been such a joy for me, and I am so grateful I get to do so.

This game wouldn't be the same without Kate. My RP experience wouldn't be the same without Kate. Mindy wouldn't have made it through losing Danny without her.

I don't know what else to say except that I am so fucking glad that you play this beautiful, funny lady. ♥ ♥ ♥

Kate is such a delight. Every single thread I have with her, no matter the pup I'm playing off of her, is an absolute joy.

But of course, she and Derek's relationship is really something special to me. She is his family, and he would go to the ends of the earth for her. I'm forever grateful to you for giving Derek that again.
