Given that it is now mid-year and that many of us seem to have been having a rough time of it lately, now seems like an excellent time for a kudos meme. Tag in character, as yourself, or even anonymously if you prefer! Just spread the love, y'all. ♥

Tag in each of your characters, then go around and respond to the others with kudos for their characters. Tell them why you love having them in game, what you enjoy about the character, praise a specific plot or thread, whatever love you have to spread. Oh my god. XDDD This is so ridiculously touching. To be honest, I think one of my greatest insecurities as a writer has always been whether or not I can nail down their voice, because I feel like that's one of my bigger weaknesses. Even if I think I can understand motivations, even if I think I can figure out characterization, being able to spell it all out in a way that sounds like them and really highlights their essence as a person is just something I struggle with, especially because the writers in this game are so talented. It's actually one of the reasons (schedule being the primary other) that I decided to leave the game — because I felt like that grasp was constantly slipping. So to hear this is overwhelming and wonderful.

I'm doubly excited that you find my characters compelling even without knowing the canon, too! One of my favorite things about panfandom roleplay is about how we can get pulled in so organically by the draw of other people's writing. So if I've sparked your interest even a little, that means a lot to me.

I've been desperately wanting to thread with Carson, given that I know and have watched SBL multiple times and have read and been delighted at how you totally bring him to life in your writing, so we should totally figure out a way to thread. I'm totally game for starting private threads if you are. :D Jack has a very easy in to meet Carson through Girl, and Carson and Jessica really do need to meet sometime because like you said, I can't tell if they'd BFF or be bitter enemies, and I'd love to play that out.

I'm absolutely floored by this praise, you're gonna make me cry. XD I feel like I had such struggles with figuring out voice towards the end of my previous time in game, but to know that you feel like Jack's voice comes out clear, distinct, and ultimately like a kid, that just means the world to me. I definitely wanted to practice my writing in that regard, and I feel like there are so many writers in this game (including yourself) who have a better handle on that aspect of writing than I do, so I'm just super pleased that people enjoy what I've been doing.

And god, it's so good to be writing with you again. THOUGH WE'VE ONLY HAD ONE THREAD AND DESPERATELY NEED MORE. I would absolutely love to kick off another thread with Jack and Ronan since I feel like it'd be totally normal for Ronan to follow up more with the kid. :D So if you have an idea of where they'd meet (would Ronan come to the home, would they run into each other at the park or near his school, etc. etc.), I think we should totally start more between these two because the opportunities seem pretty endless. I mean, seriously, if/when Jack gets wind of Ronan's abilities he's just going to be so thrilled. XDDD

Oh man, I'm so glad that the bottom line of Jessica is coming across in my writing. XD You've taglined her perfectly right there, and I hope that sense of boldness will continue to come across even after Jessica gets back on her feet. I am definitely hoping to get to thread her off of yours ASAP, and I can't even imagine how much Jessica is totally going to latch onto Lois as a reporter, because Jessica loves having more information always. She is totally down to dish the dirty. 8D

The show is seriously adorable. Like, I can't even describe how much of it resonates so much with me and depicts the best parts of my childhood. XDDD And I know plenty of non-Chinese people who really enjoy it as a well, so I think it does a great job of both paying homage and also introducing other people to the culture in a really relatable way. So yeah, I would absolutely love if you watched! It's also a pretty easy watch given that each episode is only a little over 20 minutes long. :D

We should totally pop up a private thread with these two, too. >_> I was absolutely serious when I said that Bitty's this mix of Jessica's best friend and one of her sons, and she would immediately latch onto him. I would love to see how Bitty would deal with her very unique type of Mom-ing. XD

Ooh, I'm down with a private thread for sure! Bitty's a busy dude, but I can put him pretty much anywhere if there's enough notice. Right now he's working at Semele's Wednesday thru Sunday evenings/nights and works afternoons at the cat cafe Monday through Wednesday and he's also frequently at the ice rink/pool. Otherwise, I can put him in the park or in the grocery store or whatevs. :D

And yes, another thread! I think there's a chance Ronan would peek in on Jack if he knew where Jack was staying. Is Jack allowed out on his own at all? Would Ronan have to, like, show proof that he isn't there to steal Jack or something like that? (I have no idea how this shit works, I'll admit.) And that miiiiight come up at some point, though probably not anytime soon. He's being a bit more secretive about it after the shit that went down with KIRIN a few months back.

Thank you! That is one of the things I like the most about Sam. He's not perfect (don't get him started on vampires, for instance), but he's a good guy. And I can usually toss him at just about anyone and it works. It's not so easy to do that with my ladies.

I'm super lucky that his voice is REALLY distinct and also that his canon is largely from his POV so I can pretty easily steal his mannerisms straight from the source. I'm so glad it comes through so well!

Also I need to tell you how much I love your characters. I am particularly fond of Billy, from both Tessa and Lois, but I think you play such a great roster and you get all of their voices down in such a distinct way! You play so many different types of characters and you balance playing all of them so well - you make it look like an art really. With Billy, in particular, you put so much heart and soul into his threads; they are such a delight to read and I'm thrilled to be able to thread with him.

And I love playing with you too and I am so glad we are threading more. I can't wait to see Clark in Darrow and I look forward to playing with you all the time too.
