I look over my shoulder one more time. I wish Grandma was here. I was Ma was here. I met really nice people last time, not the mean people that take pictures when we're at the store. I think they would like it here. Maybe next time I have to hold their hand more tight so that they can come with me.

No, not very long. I met, last time I met some people who said they were here for years. But I only stay for less than a day. Not even as long as a school day.

That's a really pretty name. I think I've heard it before, but I don't know where from.

I think it was on Television, but... I don't remember as much about the different shows on Television anymore. Real people are more interesting.

Did you also disappear and come back to Darrow? I know some people get stuck here, and I think it makes them sad when they can't go home. I wish someone would find a way to help everyone go home when they want.

I don't think I would mind, being stuck here. But you must be missing your grandmother, right? I'm sure your family is awfully worried about you.

Yeah, I miss Grandma, and Leo, and Ma. But I've been missing Ma for a long time. She has to stay at the hospital, and I can't visit her yet.

Talking about Ma makes my chest feel tight. I squeeze my backpack straps.

I don't want to make Ma more worried. So I don't think it would be good for just me to be here. Ma needs to come, too.
