I think bad guys scare people because they want to hurt them. So I don't think this guy is all bad. Maybe he has a good part of him, too.

When you use good manners, people also listen. Maybe you could try that. I think that's easier than trying to scare everyone. Because different things scare different people, but everyone knows what good manners are.

I take a deep breath. I don't think this doctor wants to keep talking to me.

It's a word to use when I'm not sure how I feel yet.

I think telling the truth is more important than showing the best manners sometimes. Because lying isn't really good manners either.

Ma's not in Darrow. She's back in Akron.

I pause and almost tell him that she's in the hospital, but I don't think Dr. Horrible needs to know that.

I was the only one who came here. And where are your parents?

Uh, I'm old enough to not need adult supervision. Unlike you.

Sometimes even adults need supervision.

That's a big word, but I know it because they use it a lot at the hospital. Most of the time, they're talking about Ma.

I think if you want to scare millions of people, maybe that means you need supervision.
