It is, now that I've stopped to think about it. My wife is always after me to take time to relax, to slow down.

We are both focused men, perhaps just with differing pursuits. What do you do, other than chess?

Besides chess? It is my passion, the one thing in the world I am good at.

I am not a scholar or a politician. I am a grandmaster and the board is the one thing I can control. The rules are constant, they change for no man.

You must be a singular man to say so. Nearly everyone else I have met disagrees - or at least feels as if I should turn my attention elsewhere.

I - suppose they are not completely wrong but I don't know to be anyone other than who I am.

I've been accused of being non-stop in my approach to work, accused of writing and fighting like I'm writing out of time.

My family has perhaps suffered a lack of my attention, but I cannot bring myself to give it up.
