Secret Santa Day One
On the first day of Chrismukkah, your Secret Santa post has arrived.
Each day from now through Christmas, you'll find a post like this one waiting. Leave anonymous comments with your gift for your Secret Santee (make sure to put his or her name in the subject line so they can find it!). Remember, it's okay if you don't have something every day. We do, however, encourage you to leave a little note to let them know they haven't been forgotten. Christmas Day will be a free-for-all, where anyone can leave presents for anyone, and, if they so desire, Santas may reveal their identity.
Let the gift-giving begin.
NOTES: Passwords for various uploading sites, galleries, the game anon account, etc., are available here. For those of you who'd like to play around with some Photoshop but don't have access, Pixlr is a fantastic online alternative that comes close. And remember, if you're posting pictures, they won't show up in an anonymous comment, so for those kinds of comments, it's better to use the

I am so excited to be your Santa! To start you off, some points for you and Blue! (And the first of some really bad graphics, too!)
Re: Faye
Joy
Santa also believes in dumb cards.
So I'm more familiar with Bitty's canon than Ronan's. That's because, in preparing for Christmas, Santa went to find pictures of Bitty and accidentally read the entirety of Check, Please! instead. I should have expected this though. After all, Bitty in game is so charming, it's hard to imagine he'd be any less so in canon. I can't get enough of him in any form. Reading the comic was a bit like seeing a friend again! Bitty just has such a distinctive voice, both in your narrative and his vlog posts. In a funny way, reading canon felt like an extension of your writing here in Darrow, because I went in knowing this voice from how you write him. The bridge between the two is impressively seamless. It also makes me all the more excited we have Bitty in game and I get to watch his exploits as he navigates various affairs of the heart for the first time. It's impossible to get enough of him and how sweet and real he is, giddy and nervous and hopeful and so disarming. I want to thank you for bringing him to us. It feels very much as if he fills a gap we didn't know was there, an important part of the Darrow puzzle.
All I know of Ronan's canon I gleaned from the cast at Darrow, but you have a grasp on him that makes that irrelevant. He's a full and rounded character standing entirely on his own and I feel like I know him just from your threads and posts with him. He's magnificently dark, as so many have said. You aren't afraid to play the parts of him that might make him unlikable, the sharp edges and sarcasm and surliness. You aren't afraid of the scarred bits of Ronan, his insecurities, the way he pushes others away. Reading your tags, it's clear that, underneath the sharp, he's soft. There's a depth of caring and thought and fear that make him so vivid. That's what makes him so compelling. You write a real, living, breathing human boy who handles big situations in a very human way. That isn't always nice, but it's good, and you write it so well. There's a palpable ache to some of his tags, like when he and Adam made up again; reading it, you can feel all the things unspoken in the silence, and that's such a powerful thing to be able to do with your words.
Re: Joy
SANTA. You are amazing. And you said such nice things. I am so SO delighted by you being tricked into reading Check, Please and I'm so happy you liked it and don't think I'm ruining lovely little Bitty. I love playing him so so much. And thank you SO much for all the nice things about Ronan. I struggle with him a whole ton and I'm glad I'm getting through some of his softness neath his stupid sharp edges.
God, seriously, I just want to clutch everything here to my bosom. EVERYTHING. Thank you so much, Santa!

Ruth
Upon opening it you find a leather-bound book with a page marked.

Kat
On this the first day of Secret Santa, your Santa hopes you're having a wonderful day! To start, I have here for you one fanmix for one fabulous warlock! Your Magnus is perfection. You play him so fantastically; he's a joy to thread with and to thread stalk. He makes Darrow truly a more magical place. Also there may or may not be a slight Malec leaning towards some of the songs, because this Santa is just a tad biased. ;) I hope you enjoy, and I hope the rest of your day is as magnificent as you are.

Ashley
Merry Christmas, Ashley! I am absolutely terrible at photoshop but wanted to make you something special. I am so excited to be your santa. Aside from this ridiculous piece of "art" please enjoy some paid time for the wonderful Mr. Kinney!
(And I promise your later presents will be a little more tasteful. Probably.)
Re: Ashley
The dick in the Santa thong in the background is clearly the best part of this card.
THANK YOU, SANTA.

I have not actually played BioShock, but I have threaded with Eleanor and I have to say: WHAT A DELIGHT. First person narratives can either be a pain in the ass or completely draw you into a character, and you excel at the latter. Her experiences are so different from the norm but you emphasize her humanity while still keeping the tone of the game, keeping that otherness and wonder at this new world in tact. She's a character who has so much room for growth, something that I personally am a sucker for, and you balance that growth so well. I just really, really, really enjoy her and want to thread with her a whole lot more, which I think is the ultimate kudos that I can give.
Additionally, to go along with your paid time, in case you don't have icons in reserve, here are some pretty icons of the beautiful Emily Browning that I think work with Eleanor's look.

Angel
It had to be Rocket. He was the only one mean enough to do it. He was... he was the Grinch. He was the actual Grinch and he was stealing Christmas. The first one Peter had actually intended to celebrate since... well, it had been a long time, okay? And now the little turd was ruining it.
Never mind that it had taken weeks to explain the holiday to Drax. And then at least one more trying to convince him that he didn't need to arm himself against Santa.
Never mind that he'd paid WAY too much for the present he'd gotten Gamora.
Never mind that he was spending more time taking ornaments off Groot than putting them up and around the ship.
Never mind that he'd actually gotten something for the mangy rodent.
But stealing the Santa suit he was going to wear was the last straw. The. Last. Straw. He was gonna put him out an airlock this time.
"ROCKET!!!!"
There were only so many places the little bastard could hide and by the time he'd made it to the galley, he was probably red enough that he didn't need the suit.
Then there, sitting on his ass and looking surprised, he had the gall to ask, "What Quill?"
"The suit, Rocket, where's the suit?"
"What suit?"
"The- come on man! The suit." He'd made it perfectly clear that anyone who ruined the surprise for Groot was gonna answer to him. Well, they would answer to Gamora, but Peter would be the person who said go.
"Oh, that suit." Smug little asshole. "It's back on your bunk. I needed it for something."
"What."
"Just something, geez, what is it with you humans?" He sauntered off, muttering.
Returning to his bunk, Peter looked down at the folded suit on the bed. Picking it up, he was surprised when he found something under it. A package, wrapped in... well, he didn't wanna ask. Opening it, he was surprised to see what looked like a snow globe. Inside, it even looked a little like earth.
"Surprise?" Gamora stood in the doorway. "We know you haven't been back to Terra since you left. Drax and I broke into an intelligence station and found surveillance images, Rocket carved the inside and put it together. The... snow? Is actually little flowers that Groot made. I think they're flowers at least, it's difficult to tell with him. You mentioned having something like this when you were telling us about this holiday of yours. We thought you might like another. Do you like it?"
The little rat bastard. From behind Gamora, he could hear Rocket snickering and sticking his head out, he could see everyone, waiting. "You guys. It's... it's perfect. Come on, group hug."
Everyone groaned, but this time, no one actually objected.
