Hi, guys! I just wanted to share a quick post of Secret Santa resources again as we get closer to the start.
How it works: On each of the five days leading up to Christmas day (the 20th through 24th), a post will go up where you'll be able to leave anonymous gifts for your recipient. On Christmas Day, we'll put up a post wherein you can reveal yourselves (if you like) and give a nice closing gift.
• If, for any reason, you find you'll be unable to fulfill your Secret Santa duties, please let the mods know ASAP! We'll make sure to find an elf who can pinch-hit for you, but the sooner you tell us, the better a job that elf can do. We'll make sure no one goes without a Santa.
• Need to upload something directly to webspace but don't want it on your own domain/don't have one? Email me and let me know, and I'll get it uploaded for you. I won't tell a soul whose it is.
• Got a question for or about your recipient? Drop the mods a note and we'll pass the question along without giving away your identity, then let you know the answer.
• The password info for all our different city accounts can be found here. That includes spaces where you can upload files and pictures, as well as an 8tracks account, so you can share things anonymously. There's an LJ account for pictures or if you, say, want to post a long fic and link to it.
• If you want to make graphics of some kind and don't have Photoshop, Pixlr is a pretty solid substitute!
• I uploaded a loooot of pngs, transparencies, backgrounds, pixel art, brushes, and various Christmas graphics shit like Santa hats here if you wanna use those for anything. I had a lot of fun with them and, since I'd gathered up so much, I figured someone else might enjoy them, too.
• There are a bunch of links here that might help if you're looking for icons or pictures to use for graphics or something to help you download a lot of pictures at once, etc.
• Curious what people have done in previous years? Looking for inspiration? Check out the Secret Santa tag.
