[meme] cell phones

Suggested by [personal profile] shelightsupwell!

Cell phones are such an important part of our every day lives, but have you taken the time to consider what your pups' cell phones might be like? What model do they use? Do they use it mostly for texting? What games do they play? What does their wallpaper look like? Their contact lists?

Tag in with your pups, including what kind of phone they carry, and if you'd like, with a picture of their lock screen wallpaper, and any other information you'd like to give. Then, reply to each other, answering the following questions about your pups' cell phones:

- what their pup’s name is in your pup’s phone
- what their pup's picture is in your pup’s phone
- what ringtone represents their pup in your pup's phone
- your pup's last text to their pup.

Have fun!

Lucy Carrigan still uses the phone she got in her welcome packet. It's probably seen better days, but she doesn't know enough about cell phones to care to replace it. The lock screen is the default picture that came with it, and she uses it almost exclusively only when reached out to first, except with people she's really close to. Even then, she doesn't do much more than text.

- He doesn't have a picture, yet. He'd feel kind of weird to ask.
- He doesn't do personalized ringtones.
- A picture of Rosie giving Eris a pretty, pretty princess makeover.

Eowyn has a basic flip phone, because she barely understands electricity, much less computers (indoor plumbing, however, she is a fan of).

It has a horse background. And probably no contacts, because she doesn't know how to enter them in and isn't sure whether it's polite to ask someone to do that.

-Lady Eowyn which just screws up the sorting.
-the picture is undoubtedly a picture snapped while Eowyn didn't even know she was there, but it's a very good picture
-default tone
-no texts because she isn't sure of all the English characters and isn't sure Eowyn knows writing

Ellie uses the phone she got in the welcome packet. It is overloaded with games and frivolous apps, many of which have been used once and then left on the phone; it consequently gets terrible battery life and dies a lot because she forgets to charge it. If you are in her phone she 100% has sent you terrible puns.

Her lock screen:

Nikita's phone is a locked-down secure smartphone. It has various functions to disable the GPS, prevent keylogging, prevent call monitoring, etc. She doesn't generally turn most of these on but she likes having the ability. Section Paranoia doesn't go away.

She has a few people in her contacts, though since the phone is secure, no one will ever be able to see that unless she's disabled the right security features.

Her lock screen is a picture of Napoleon's first wife, and she will never explain why. :)

Jessica Drew has a rooted Android-equivalent with some homebrewed intrusion/tracking apps, and a couple of things copied off her SHIELD tablet, disguised as frivolous junk apps. Also usually whatever game is flavor of the month. Her lock screen is a shot of New York from a high vantage point.

Katie Marks has the standard phone included in her arrival packet. It's served its purpose and she can't see any reason to swap it out or upgrade. She mostly uses it for texts, since she's often too busy for calls, but she prefers calls when she can. It's about 50/50 used for work purposes and checking in on Jamie, who also happens to be her lock screen picture. She uses the default ringtone almost across the board.

Lockscreen:

— Katie's name is just her name in Molly's phone. Though after the wedding, Molly will probably change it and add like six heart emojis to the end of it, because she's a nerd.
— Her picture is a very, very cute one of her and Jamie, when Jamie was still a little younger.
— Default ringtone.
I'll see you guys then :) anything I should bring?

Eden McCain uses her standard arrival phone as well. The wallpaper is one of the default included images, one of a lilypad. Her lockscreen is her cat. She mostly uses it for games, the internet, taking pictures, and reading, though she texts sometimes. She takes a lot of pictures, all kinds of things but especially of friends. It's hard to know what's the last time you'll see someone.

Her default ringtone is always changing, but she usually keeps her phone on silent anyway.

Faramir has the basic welcome-packet phone. He likes to take nature pictures, which are generally super bad because he's still figuring out the technology thing, but they make him happy. His wallpaper is a bird or something.

He doesn't have many contacts, but he does have an entry for Boromir. It's blank.

Olive Penderghast has the most recent iteration of the iPhone in Darrow. Her ringtone is "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by default. She prefers to text and she takes quite a few pictures. Actually she likes to take pictures of dogs she sees, so if you're a friend of hers, you've probably received a dog picture at some point, or else a stupid pun or joke or some ridiculously captioned message on BurnBox. She has a number of dumb games on her phone, mostly to play between classes. Her lock screen picture is Eduardo in profile, making breakfast.

Cameron Winklevoss has a smartphone that was the latest model a couple years ago. It's still in good working order, though, so there's no reason to upgrade. He mostly uses it for business, and so he has BurnBox on it and email and a good data plan, but there might be a cupcake matching game on there, too. Possibly. He still prefers calls to texts, but will often text in deference to everyone else's preferences on the matter. His ringtone is a classical sounding default. His lock screen is a default picture of rain on leaves.

Brendan Conlon still uses the phone he got when he arrived in Darrow, with a picture of Emily and Rosie on Founders Day as his lock screen, another of the two of them as his background. He doesn't really use it for much, but he responds to any texts/emails regularly.

This is his wallpaper. Dean was unamused when he saw it.

Since all he has to do is pray to the guy, it seems a little pointless, but I still like to think he has a contact entry for Cas, if only so he can have it labeled "Hell's Angel."

The picture is of a cheap, plastic angel statue, which he saw at a Dollar Store.

No ringtone.

They've never texted.

Gwen Stacy has a slightly more recent phone than the one she got when she arrived, which she bought used and refurbished. She has a couple of games but mostly uses it for texts, looking things up, and, okay, the occasional selfie. Please forgive her if she doesn't answer your texts; she means to. Usually. She just gets sidetracked.

She doesn't take a lot of pictures, though she'll sometimes send them if she sees something she thinks is cool, but she's the kind of girlfriend who takes a lot of pictures whether or not Elvis likes it. Her ringtone is "Cosmic Love" by Florence + the Machine. Her lock screen is a picture of her and her brothers that she got off the phone she had on her when she arrived.

Harley Altmeyer has the phone he got when he arrived. He doesn't like it. He'll only call back if he has to. Or if you text him. If you text him and it takes more than a few words to answer, he'll probably call, because he doesn't like texting. If he can get away with ignoring it entirely, he will. His ringtone is one of the default ones that sounds like a landline phone ringing. His lock screen is a picture of the woods behind the house.

Katherine Pierce goes through phones like disposable razors; people she wants to have her phone number probably get a 'new phone k' text fairly regularly. The lock screen is whatever it was when she got it, unless it's specific to whoever she stole it from. Every phone inevitably fills with selfies before being wiped and thrown in the river or something.

Jenny Mellor has a smartphone that's probably a few years old by now, though she won't bother replacing it until it stops working entirely. She doesn't use it very often, but has gotten somewhat better with it, and it isn't totally unusual for her to text friends, or send pictures via BurnBox, one of few apps she's bothered to learn how to use. Her ringtone is default, but her lock screen is a picture taken recently of flowers while she was looking at arrangements for her upcoming wedding.

Porthos' cell phone is a large Samsung model with a large batch of pictures he often scrolls through. He has no idea how to work the music function, barely knows how to change the wallpaper, and has become pretty good at texting (though only in french, not english)

Elle Woods has an older model of smartphone in a bright pink case. The lock screen picture is of Bruiser in his doggy bed (sorry, Emmett). The ringtone is "California Girls," but the Katy Perry one, not the Beach Boys. (Even if she likes that one, too). She has a bunch of games she actually never plays because she's so busy, and actually probably makes way more use of the Voice Memo app for making to do lists and take notes at work, as well as a mindful meditation app she uses routinely. She frequently texts, emails, calls, Burnboxes, Tweets, Instagrams, whatever form of social media she has access to.

Mindy Lahiri carries whatever the latest version of Darrow's play on the iPhone is, though she's lousy at updating the software and gets furious when she has to do it all at once and it takes a thousand years. Her current ringtone is Teenage Dream by Katy Perry and her lock screen is a picture of herself, surprising approximately no one.

She plays a lot of Kwazy Kupcakes and uses more emojis than the creators ever had in mind.

Elvis Moreau has a picture of a corpse he's embalmed as his lock screen. It's great at deterring people who want to see what he's doing. His background is a picture of a field of sunflowers. The phone itself is a relatively recent one, only because he accidentally broke his a few months ago, and he doesn't use it much, but he does text and take pictures of his girlfriend. (And sometimes other dead bodies.)

Elsa still has the phone she got when she arrived, partly out of practicality and partly because it took her a while to make sense of it and she's sure it will take forever to familiarize herself with something else. The ringtone is default, but she figured out how to change her lock screen picture to one of Anna. She'll play around with whatever the latest game craze is, but she loses interest fairly quickly. She likes texting, though, and taking pictures, though almost always of other people.

Todd Anderson has something comparable to a iPhone 5. The case is red. His lock screen is a picture of Eric, taken on the beach. He actually uses his phone a lot, for web browsing and email, and he will text, but he hardly ever uses it to make calls. More often than not, in fact, his ringer is off.
