I STILL haven't seen this movie, but I actually know a good deal about the real case it's based on, which makes it really interesting, playing off of her, even though she's obviously an entity in her own right.

I've loved the threads we've had, she feels very real, if that makes sense. You don't shy away from her flaws, which is why she's so compelling.

I still need to finish kudosing everyone and replying, but I wanted to pop back up and say thaaaank yoooou. That's very much what I want from her, for her to be real and flawed, because it would be simple to play her as just the damsel in distress or whatever, and that wouldn't be doing her justice, so... yes. You should waaaaaaaatch. I feel like the cast is great, but it does lose steam somewhat about 2/3 through, post-Katie's disappearance, although I think that may be in part because the true story is so, so bizarre that watching the on-screen evocation sort of falls flat. I still love it, though. There's something about this particular case that is so haunting to me. I don't even know why, it just sticks with me. x_x
