Secret Santa Day Three
Here we are on the third day of Chrismukkah! Time flies, holy cow.
Each day from now through Christmas, you'll find a post like this one waiting. Leave anonymous comments with your gift for your Secret Santee (make sure to put his or her name in the subject line so they can find it!). Remember, it's okay if you don't have something every day. We do, however, encourage you to leave a little note to let them know they haven't been forgotten. Christmas Day will be a free-for-all, where you can leave presents for anyone at all and, if you so desire, reveal your identity.
Let the gift-giving begin.
NOTES: Passwords for various uploading sites, galleries, the game anon account, etc., are available here. For those of you who'd like to play around with some Photoshop but don't have access, Pixlr is a fantastic online alternative that comes close. And remember, if you're posting pictures, they won't show up in an anonymous comment, so for those kinds of comments, it's better to use the

The second attempt brings Flavia no more luck than the first; although she manages to escape the woods with her knees decidedly less scraped than before. Still, the following afternoon finds the young chemist feeling restless and stewing over a freshly made cup of tea. She sips at the liquid while staring at one of her latest successes in experiments; even her accomplishment can’t seem to lighten her lacking mood.
“I refuse to believe this hill doesn’t exist,” she tells the pile of books on one of the desks in her precious laboratory. “Not when it’s giving me this much trouble, anyway. And besides, to see the awful look on Feely and Daffy’s faces when I tell them that I’ve found the hidden hill at Buckshaw? Absolutely worth it.”
She moves to begin preparations for her journey tonight. Dogger, she suspects, has cottoned onto her plans, from the knowing smiles he’s flashed her in the hallways here and there, and Feely still scowls at her, though that is most likely from the toads she’d hidden in her bedroom the other night. Regardless, Flavia is determined that nothing will stand in her way.
She reaches for a satchel when she stumbles into the bookcase, and a volume she snuck from the library when Daphne was overly absorbed in Dickens falls to hit her in the back of the head before landing clumsily on the floor.
“Damn and blast!” Flavia exclaims, rubbing the back of her head. She leans down to pick up the book, open now to a random chapter. Her eyes fly across the page, taking in the subject matter in the story. “Oh Doctor Watson,” she sighs, scanning the last few words of the good doctor’s sentence. “What a disappointment you’ve been.”
The next moment, naturally, brings her a moment of revelation.
“I know!” She says, shutting the book and hugging it close to her chest. “I shall bring you with me, and you shall bring my good luck charm!”
After all, what better companions for solving a mystery then the world’s greatest detective and his best friend?
