Meme: Reverse Questions

Muns: Post here listing all of the characters you play (you might want to list journals, too, just for reference) or are thinking of playing.

Everyone: Ask the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR PUPS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this pup?", "How do you channel them?", etc.) You can even have pups ask the questions, but ANSWERS are coming from the MUNS.

You play Gwen so fantastically I'm curious as to what drew you to her?

Thank you! I think the main thing that really called to me in Gwen is that she's so alive and so... grave at the same time, no pun intended. She has a very real awareness of death, and it lends this gravity to her, which is really interesting to me up against her enthusiasm and charm and ambition. I love that juxtaposition of being so lively but that running up against what she says to Peter, that she never knows if her father is going to make it home that day. She's so aware of that possibility of loss, and then the loss itself, but she doesn't let it define her either. Which strikes me as both so appropriate for the character of Gwen Stacy and also very sad, because I think Gwen often is overshadowed by her death. It's what everyone remembers about her, and I just wanted to know the living girl and give her time to do more with her life.

If you were in charge of writing it, how would Gwen's life/story have played out if she hadn't died?
girlalmighty: (skins: come on and talk to me)

The sad thing is I sometimes have trouble seeing a future for Gwen, y'know? Like she's the girl who was born to die young. When it comes to comics canon, my familiarity is patchy, and when it comes to the movies, the path is still unclear (sometimes unnervingly so).

But I like to imagine she gets to go to a good school, and then on to grad school, and eventually she has her doctorate in biochemistry, and she's making a name for herself in science and doing amazing things, making the world a better place. I see her as someone who kind of just takes it for granted that one day she'll get married and have a family, so her primary focus is on her career, but that's still something she wants, and I want her to have that, so she does. And no one ever tries to blow her up or drop her off a bridge, the end.

Gwen Stacy, Scientist of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
girlalmighty: (marvel: live a life less ordinary)

I would love every last second of it.

But I'm a sucker for Marvel's non-powered lady scientists. Moira MacTaggert is one of my forever favorites.

And there are not enough of them. You can't walk around the Marvel Universe without tripping over a science dude but there are not enough science ladies that aren't that one lady that worked in the lab at that one place.

Gwen Stacy, Scientist of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the head of their department that takes all the combat tech of SHIELD and finds uses for it in ways that don't kill people or something.

God, yes. I'd really like to dabble with more of that kind of thing for her as the game goes on, too. Like I want her to get the thing, I forget what it's called because I'm due for a rewatch, from the first movie that Peter's dad made that sprays stuff over the whole area, to facilitate some kind of plot, and get her more into those kinds of plots like Kaine's and all and have her deal with that angle of things and be more of a participant than just... there. Agency, whoo! Maybe one day she'll have a superhero science lab of her very own.
