I feel like Helen has grown so much in her time away from Fireflyverse. Which part of her growth are you most proud of, and why?

Definitely that she's become someone who gives a damn about people and allows herself to not just care, but to care deeply. I've always felt like she's a very social person, despite spending so many years presumably on her own for the most part, so I'm really glad she's able to form close relationships now that are based on a genuine desire for closeness rather than her using the other person to get something she wants.

What are the questions that Zuko is most wanting to ask about his world, now that he knows who Korra is?

He mainly wants to know who's still alive. He knows Aang is dead, of course, since Korra's the Avatar, and IIRC she told him about Katara, but he also wants to know about Sokka, Toph, Mai, his sister, basically everyone who was around his age.

He also wants to know about his own future - did he marry, did he have children, is he still Fire Lord, things like that. He wants to know what's going on with his kids, and their kids, if there are any.

(The idea of him meeting his own grandson and the two of them sounding exactly the same kind of cracks me up, lol)

What would current Helen tell her past self, say the version of around the first time we saw her in the show?

Who would win in a fight between those two Helens?

She wouldn't tell her anything, because she knows her past self wouldn't listen.

The current one would definitely win. Saffron in canon could obviously hold her own, but she's gotten a LOT better at hand to hand, martial arts, guns, & fencing in the years since then.

That probably would have been a big draw for her a few years ago, but at this point she doesn't really care. She's pretty much moved on from what happened with Mal and his crew, at least enough to not have any particular desire to kill any of them. Well, maybe Jayne still.

Oooooh, hmmm. I would love to see her get into a genuine, monogamous relationship. I also want someone to find out about her past.

I don't think I could come up with a better nemesis than the ones he had in canon, really. He needs someone who isn't afraid to get in his face, someone who tries to call him out. And if they're human, someone who isn't afraid to stand up to a scary centuries-old and incredibly powerful vampire. :D

What do you think Dorian's biggest challenge will be in an admittedly primitive city without people like him?

I think it'll take a while for him to get accustomed to the idea of being not just the only DRN around, but the only synthetic in the city period. The huge step back in terms of technology will also be really strange for him, but I think he'll also be fascinated with learning about the 21st century and what life is like in a city where the crime rate will seem really quite low to him. XD

Does Helen ever want to go back to TR?

There are several people she would miss in Darrow, but if given the choice, she would absolutely go back to TR. It became home to her, and her view on that hasn't changed. It might eventually, though, depending on what happens in Darrow.

What is it that first drew you to Helen? Would you ever consider restarting her story?

[jianhuo]

She's always been my favorite character outside of the ship's crew. I loved that there was a decent foundation for her to work from and yet so much we didn't know about her.

The only reason I would want to reset her and play her over again from her debut point would be to change a part of her background that I wish I'd made different - I'd make her a registered Companion who then let her registration lapse.
