Agreed. It's a gradual process, and every step counts. Like, I'm bisexual and half-Chinese, believe me, I'd LOVE to see more representation for other sexualities and ethnicities in Disney films. In any film. I want more steps and bigger. But that doesn't keep Frozen from being a great film, and I think focusing exclusively on what it doesn't have does a disservice to the representation that is there. I mean, we have our first Disney royal with a mental disorder! That's so huge to me. Like, that's an understatement. I cry every time I watch this movie. What's the most difficult thing about playing Spartacus?

He needs something that's going to take him away from the island. In a way, he both desperately needs his friends from TR, but also seeing them reminds him of how much he's still missing. Having Grace or Steve would help, but so would anyone from Hawaii at this point.

He'll be able to move on, but it will likely be akin to how it happened with Rachel in that it took years for him to find someone to be serious about (and he relapsed with her, so yeah, he has issues)

If you bring Coraline, Kate is officially taking that poor girl under her wing, which I realize is not a question, but -______- and also Kate's probably not the best at guidance, but it's a thing that's going to be happening and she should have done it long ago.

Oh boy, he would not respond well, at least not at this point. He isn't the kind of guy who can easily wrap his head around something so existential as being a fictional character, so that would throw him through a loop, especially as it would lead him to the zillion versions of him that have been created over the years. Plus, he's still half-convinced that none of this is real and he has actually gone crazy, and that would definitely make him even more sure.

All of that said, the more time he spends in Darrow, the more he is going to get used to the idea that everyone is probably fictional in some universe, and eventually such a discovery would be much less traumatizing. He'll still be weirded out, but he will get over it. He'll just be left wondering why he doesn't get to look more like Jude Law. XD XD XD

New and interesting are very polite terms for wacky and ridiculous so I appreciate your kindness.

What I'm most proud of is probably the development itself. He's from a show of very uneven quality and his character has a lot of hinted-at depth but no time to get at much of it. So I'm proud that I was able to take this character and really make something pretty epic out of him. Sometimes I feel like he's pretty much completely divorced from canon at this point, but he's consistent with my canon, and at this point I've had him for far longer than the writers ever did, so he's mine now.

Mike... I dunno, I'd like to see him keep working on this crazy sociopathic thing he's got going on. It's not always all that consistent and I'm definitely fumbling with it a bit but I think it's one of the more interesting directions in which I've taken him. I've wanted to play someone who was basically a serial killer for a while, so HERE WE GO

Delta, I just want to see what happens when he's in a serious relationship. Like, where the L Word happens. He has no idea how to do that.

The thing that interests me most about Spartacus is his relationship with Ilithya. I have no idea where that's going but I feel like they're headed for a genuine truce, which is bizarre and fun. I'm thinking eventually he might also want to have some kind of relationship with his son.

Daryl will adjust. Daryl always adjusts. But I think he'll also feel sort of directionless. He's been in survival mode his entire life and I think he has no idea about how to form healthy emotional attachments to people. So having him work that out should be awesome.

I think he'll be utterly weirded out but ultimately okay with it because she's so much better than his Andrea. I see them being bros. As far as goals go... I really want to work through his inability to form real relationships. I think he's starved for connection and affection and desperately wants it but Merle and the rest of his family context just completely fucked him up where that's concerned.

Plus I'm planning to work through some sexual orientation issues with him. >_>

Confused, apprehensive, giddy. All at once. He really does love her, he just has no idea how to Do A Relationship. Except he is already. So the most important thing will be finding his confidence there, and he'll need support from her.

The most difficult thing about Spartacus is the dialogue itself. I feel like I'm still working out how to do it, and dialogue is incredibly important to me as far as how I get inside the head of a character. Mike's dialogue is very fluid, as is Delta's, but Spartacus is a lot harder. It's one of the reasons why I tag him slowest - his tags almost always require more thought.

Both? I kind of love footnotes because you can be TOTALLY ABSURD and throw in all of this weirdness without a second thought. But at the same time, I always feel like I'm annoying everyone else.
