I know what Dakin is. He can bewful and incorrigable and completely self-involved. I can't think all those things and still have it just be just an infatuation, can I?

Have you gone all optimistic on me? What I deserve and what I might manage are entierely different things. No one notices me, not really. Is it so wrong to want Dakin? I know I'm not going to get him.

I'm older, now. I'm not even a teenager anymore, Poz, I'm about to turn twenty-one and how's that for absolutely pissing terrifying?
Call me mad, but I'd rather see you happy than pining over someone like Dakin. God knows I love the arse, too, but I was a lost cause for a deity long ago. There's hope for you.
