I am Wendy Moira Angela Darling. I know the proper Captain Hook. And I know all about Neverland. I used to live there.

Ah yes. Miss Darling. The young lady who was so enamored by Peter Pan that she tricked a young boy to give that monster his heart.

Ha! Hardly. Peter is not a monster. He's just a scared boy who doesn't to grow up and doesn't want to be without a mother. I don't know any of this nonsense about hearts.

You know me? Is this because I'm not quite the same little girl who asked Captain Hook if I could be a pirate as well?

You and I must come from different versions of the same story. Because my Peter is not a scared little boy. He's a manipulative creature who is only out for himself and a way to keep himself young.

You are the girl Pan kept in a cage to black mail your brothers into doing his dirty work and used to convince Henry to give up his heart.

We really must. Peter grew up a bit more than he wanted to, I think, but that's what kisses do. But that was a long ago. I've grown up.

A cage? Peter would never! He built me a house and didn't hate me when I took the Lost Boys home with my brothers and I. I don't even know who Henry is.

The worst thing Peter's ever done was cut off your hand and feed it to a crocodile.

Definitely different Peters. Yours sounds like he had a heart. And a conscious.

[takes a moment to laugh] Oh, I lost my hand to the crocodile before I even met Peter Pan, though it wouldn't shock me if he took credit for it. No, my Pan did far worse to those who crossed him then take hands.

Oh he does. More a heart than a conscience but he's only a touch mischievous.

Did you? How very different our stories are! Your Peter sounds dastardly and not at all the sort of character who should be the hero of stories.

Are you a dastardly as well as dashing pirate or just dashing?

My Peter Pan is very much the villain of the story. He out does myself, the Evil Queen and Rumplestilskin. That's quite a feat.

I do like to think of myself as both. I am a pirate after all, with a bad habit of helping the good guys on occasion. When it suits me.
