MEME: Reverse Questions
Muns: Post here listing all of the characters you play (you might want to list journals, too, just for reference) or are thinking of playing.
Everyone: Ask the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR PUPS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. As a twist on the original, you're encouraged to ask whatever ridiculous question you like. What song gets stuck in your pup's head? or What would their role be in a heist? or Rank their favorite ice cream flavors. Of course, you can ask more serious questions, if you like. Hell, you can even have pups ask the questions, but ANSWERS are coming from the PLAYERS.

And so Shion does what Shion does when people are being troublesome for him, and he uses his ability on Jae, calming him down with some good old-fashioned mind control. Once Jae is breathing normally again, Shion just has Jae follow obediently around while he searches and complains about having to do all the work.

Bonus question: is there a source of blood that Shion will Absolutely, Never Ever, Rather Die never drink?

Now that he has Sophie, he stays there more often, though he still prefers the apartment. But having Sophie there means it has to be updated to make sure she's as comfortable and secure as possible, so he's getting work done on it slowly but surely. It's already wired for electricity, but he had an electrician come in and update where needed to make sure that he's not gonna accidentally cause a power outage if he plugs in a laptop or whatever, and because he also plans on having central heat and air installed. Even if the castle stays somewhat cool with all that stone, he wants it to be cool inside when Sophie comes in from playing in the summer. Plumbing is a whole ordeal. The whole thing is. Updating an old mansion requires a lot of effort, but that's what he pays other people to do.
As to the second question, the short answer is no. Now, as mentioned in various threads, he very much has no interest in feeding on anything in Silent Darrow; he'd have to be at death's door to risk it. And he still makes a point of not feeding on humans (wolves included), partly for moral reasons and partly because, even if someone outright volunteered, he's never done so before and he's a little nervous he wouldn't know how or when to stop. That said, for all his uncertainty about the concept of immortality and his frustration with its pains and limitations, he's very attached to the reality of it. He has every intention of living forever. If it came down to it, and it was drink or die, I don't think he really has any limits at all. I can't even rule out Sophie because he'd do it — just the once — to turn her if that ever felt necessary again. It's not something he'd do unless he absolutely had to to save her, at this point, but when she's older and has a better understanding of what it entails, he'll likely offer.

She would be fine, is the short answer. It's not actually even about being different from Dardan in terms of their ability to cause change, only in their motivation for doing so. When Dardan created vampires, he deliberately left many of them "incomplete" so they would essentially be mindless subordinates. There were some, however, who he perceived as having greater potential for whatever reason whom he clearly turned "completely," and these are the ones we see running things in Automnal, for example. They not only have their mental capabilities intact, but many of them have powers of their own. It seems like there's just a process, and stopping shy of completion means the vampire gets sort of stuck in-between. Even his subordinates often have subordinates of their own, though, and the residents of Automnal seem fairly functional, since they have their own independent city.
So, basically, yeah, she'd just be Sophie But Immortal since Shion would finish the process. Although really I have no idea what that looks like when a werewolf is the one bitten, that's a whole other question.

In fact…! If forced to participate in live theater, what roles would J and Shion fill? Cast, crew, production, design…? Is there a particular show each would favor?

J would be reluctant at first to be involved, because he's very gunshy when it comes to working in a professional capacity with music. It was pretty much his only goal in life since he was very, very young, but that was manipulated in his early adulthood and, between that and mental illness, he did some, uh,
serial killingvery regrettable things. In the end, though, I don't think there'd be anywhere for him but in the pit of a musical or opera. He'd lean toward opera because he's more focused on classical music, but I think he'd enjoy some musicals if exposed to them. Phantom of the Opera for sure, and I think Les Mis would really appeal to him. I'm thinking now about the ones I was into as a teenager and imagining his reaction to Miss Saigon, as someone whose canon is set in 1979 Asia, is really funny though. For Shion, this is difficult in that his inclination is always to be in the spotlight. There's no canon to support it, but I suspect that, while he'd be an okay actor, he wouldn't be anything special on stage. He's much better at acting offstage. I think where he'd really wind up shining is as a stage manager. He's bossy and opinionated, but good at handling people; he has a strong understanding of the creative side of things but he's very strategic and good at planning ahead and managing about a dozen different things at once. He has an eye for detail but a real grasp on the bigger picture. And he'd be absolutely sought after by management because somehow (magical vampire abilities cough cough) he gets the entire cast and crew to listen to him so easily.
For a specific show he'd be into, I've been thinking recently about when I used to play Sally Bowles. I feel like the two of them would get on like a house on fire, so I'm inclined to say he'd love Cabaret.

Similarly, if J couldn't listen to classical music, what would he branch out to? What music — either from his era, present day, or anywhere in between — would he wind up most having a taste for?
no subject
Strawberry probably. Or birthday cake.
I think Jae would be drawn toward older Korean music — maybe from the WWII era — stuff his mom would have played for him that she grew up on. I also think, given time, he'd really be interested in musicals, but also I kind of really want him to get into pop music. I feel like he's probably at best overlooked it his whole life and that's a whole musical world for him to discover.
