As a druid, raised by wood elves, Doric is unused to human cities and finds the mechanisms of Darrow particularly hostile. More bizarre, however, is how little reaction her horns and tail seem to provoke. Certainly, people have noticed them but don't react with the usual fear of the demonic. Instead, she seems merely a curiosity to them while she staggers off the roads and toward the only safe place she knows in a strange land: trees. The park, as they call it, is no forest, but it has plants and animals and feels safer for it.
