[meme] test drive
A bit late. Sorry, folks!
Tag into this post with characters you're thinking of apping to the game (characters who are not currently in-game or currently reserved by someone else). It can be just a tag, a brief EP, whatever you want. You can be new to the game, or simply want to test out a fresh pup. Tag each other with these characters or those already in game, and have fun.

Is that like a killdroid?

I am designed to provide security for humans and augmented humans.

[After the Clone Wars, killdroids were rebranded as "Security Droids", which was a way for the
RepublicEmpire to promise to never make them again while continuing to make them. This one doesn't seem like it's been jailbroken.]Well, I'm glad to hear it.
[Since Cassian was currently unaccompanied by anyone he'd have to protect that fell outside the range of 'Human to augmented Human', whatever the latter meant.]
What is your purpose here?

Though I would prefer to be watching media.

[a slight smile at the comment about media. So there is an individuality to be found here. Cassian wasn't sure if trying to bring it out was the right play… except, after Kaytoo, that had become his approach to all such beings.]
Aren't you curious how you came to be here?

droidbot went in, the conversation or physically, itself]no subject
The human seemed to want something from me, but he wasn't clearly in need of assistance. It almost reminded me of the way Mensah and her team tried to be my friend - ugh.
"Thank you," I replied flatly. I wasn't familiar with this planet and had no entry for it in my databases, but I could see limited technology around me and could not ping a satellite for media. Perhaps it was a non Corporate entity.
"Are you native to this planet?"

"No, I'm not," said Cassian. "I was transported here too. A lot of people were. We don't know for what purpose." He instinctively put his hands to his belt: an open stance.

"What are the risk levels of this planet?" I didn't expect him to be able to define them the way I would have been able to if I had a complete survey package, but I didn't. Knowing what he considered to be a risk might also be useful. Humans weren't always logical in their risk assessment, though.

"There's a welcome packet waiting for you at the train station," said Cassian, remembering how he'd been helped on arrival like this. "I can take you there. It might have that information for you."
As far as he was concerned, the biggest threat was from the City making him or Jyn disappear again as easily as they'd appeared. But he wasn't going to try to quantify that for this bot, who definitely meant something different.

"Thank you. I would appreciate that," I replied, and opaqued my faceplate. It was only wise when confronting a new situation with unknown risks. It also allowed me to focus less on my expression if this human said something exceedingly stupid.
