MEME: Reverse Questions
Muns: Post here listing all of the characters you play (you might want to list journals, too, just for reference) or are thinking of playing.
Everyone: Ask the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR PUPS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this pup?", "How do you channel them?", etc.) You can even have pups ask the questions, but ANSWERS are coming from the PLAYERS.

-Daisy: would never actually answer this question out loud, but in the spirit of the meme, her favorite thing about Shion is that he's not evil. That may seem like a copout answer but it's the truth, because if he were evil she would have to kill him and then burn his body in a pit in the woods, and in spite of herself, she is fond of Shion and doesn't want to kill him. He's a little pushy and annoying in a charming, little brother sort of way, but he seems to know when to be serious, too, which she appreciates a lot. He's trusted her with himself in a way she knows she hasn't earned — in a way that she knows she doesn't lend herself to it — and that makes her want to earn it. She doesn't take that shit lightly. Her least favorite thing about Shion is that he's a vampire. She's forcing herself to overlook it because, again, not evil or eating people, but the fact of his existence fundamentally rankles her Hunty side.
Alisaie: Shion reminds her a bit of Thancred, from home. Sassy, quick-tongued, and treats her like a little sister (which is both good and bad). She also thinks he's funny, and finds him easy to get along with despite the thing she likes least: he doesn't seem to know when to stop. He plagues her like a sibling, but he hasn't yet learned that his limits and her limits are differently orientated, and she might punch him. (To be clear, I absolutely love this dynamic of him plaguing the shit out of her XD)
Neve: While she doesn't know him well enough to find any reason to dislike him, Neve doesn't trust him. Don't take it personally: she doesn't trust anyone, especially not right away. What she does like is that he's cheerful, but doesn't seem to be blindly so. Running into him in the bar and then again at the manor has shown Neve two sides of him, one of which she doubts he would have shown of his own volition, and she won't take that lightly. That aside, he reminds her a bit of Elek, from home — with, perhaps, less of the criminal ties that Elek has, at least to her knowledge.
-There are a LOT of things I want to do with Neve. It's hard to put many of them to words, but one of the things I've been most excited about is writing case files for her, and giving her cases to solve. I've come to realize/remember that I am… very bad at being a detective, myself (do not ever ask me to play Clue), and I'm terrible at plot execution and follow through, so I'm trying to be careful and take my time with things, to make sure anything I do end up doing is done well. The long and short of it is, I don't really know what any hopes and plans really look like yet? Some kind of Dragon Age adjacent plot would be good and fun, but I'm unsure how big I want it to be or how I would implement it either way. I am ALWAYS up for brainstorming though.
-oh GOD okay here goes.
Saoirse's canon is already a bit fairy-tail-esque, being about fairies and having the overarching “young Hero goes on Journey to find Resolution” thing. As the young Hero of her own, Saoirse would probably be a sidekick amongst the rest of my pups. She'd be there for emotional support, providing insight and occasional comic relief. Her magic is a very specific kind of magic, so it doesn't lend itself to aiding the Hero, per se, but it can be helpful in other ways. She could serve as the bard, since her magic is song-based.
Neve would be perfect in a mentor role. She would be a part of the Group rather than at a remove from it, offering insights that her detective experience is perfect for and making hard-boiled remarks to keep people on track.
Regan, Gwenny, and El will collectively be the Hero. The catalyst for the Journey will put them on the path together. They each have a very Orphan archetype going for them: in one way or another, they've lost their family*, and so the setup for them trying to find them or be reunited with them is kinda perfect. They have Monsters to fight or avoid in ways that most of my others do not (or do not need).
*in fairness, so has Saoirse, but I really feel like she's Been Through Enough?
Tom is either the Narrator or another mentor. He's got a great voice and head for being the Narrator, but as an actual canon teacher who analyzes fiction all the time, he'd be a great mentor figure as well. I suppose there's nothing stopping him from doing both XD
Larita has a great voice for a Narrator, but she might also be great in a mentor role. Like Tom, it's easy to see her fitting into both positions, but if Tom is serving that, then Larita will be the mentor that gives insight into Love. Nearly every fairy tale is about Love: familial, romantic, platonic, love is love, and Larita knows love. She knows what it is to love someone so much that you'll end their suffering when they can't do it themselves. She knows what it is to sacrifice for love and to gain for love and love with your whole body and heart that you can overlook the fundamental incompatibilities you have with another person. And she knows when love has reached its limits for another and it's time to love oneself. She'd give great insight into a fairy tale about finding your family again, because sometimes family is the people you lose and sometimes family is whom you meet along the way, and sometimes the Hero needs to hear you don't know what love is.
Alisaie is not the Hero, but that's nothing new to her. Her role has always been support and she's fucking good at it. Her magic lends itself well to fighting and healing both, and she has the drive to protect her people. She's the Hot Head, for sure, the first into the fray, the first to defend and the last to lay down her weapon. With Saoirse, she offers emotional support and occasional comic relief.
Last but certainly not least: Every fairy tale needs a villain, or at least a catalyst, and imagine a story where the main antagonist doesn't want to be bad, but has no real choice in the matter. Daisy's connection to the Hunt makes her the perfect villain. In canon, she was brutal and violent and used her job as a cover until she was separated from the Hunt and able to find herself again, and what fairy tale doesn't have a good redemption arc? Daisy isn't evil, and she doesn't want to be evil, but the Hunt makes it easier to be bad than to be good, so as much as she wouldn't want to be, I think Daisy is best suited to the Villain archetype.
