As always, what I love so much about Katniss is your ability to combine her edge and compassion. Yes, she's someone who's been thrown into the fray of a revolution and has hardened. Yes, she's someone who hasn't let injustice slide. But none of that changes who she is at the core, that deeply caring person who stands up to those unfairly targeted and oppressed. Her suspicion and concern translate really well in the way you've played her in the city.

Molly Stearns

I don't know Molly's canon, but there's always a great deal of emotion that comes through in all of her narratives, which I think is very true of someone who's been through the experiences that she has been. One of the unique things about games like this is seeing what happens to a person in their afterlife, and I think you've played out that internal struggle and uncertainty very well. She has a second life, for sure, but the first life is still present in her motivations and thoughts, as it should be.

Driver's taciturnity makes me laugh, always. One of my own weaknesses in play is having people say too much in a single tag, so I have a particular fondness for people who manage not to have their pups say too much, but do it in a way where they're still clearly reacting. Thoughts pass through our brains at such a rapid rate, far faster than we could ever spill them out in words, so it's really great to see Driver process stuff and then... you know. For one reason or another, only offer up a few words.

It pisses Faye off, but that makes it even funnier to me.

Katie Marks

One of the things that I always love seeing in pups is their internal struggle in dealing with the various details and realities that suddenly crop up when they enter the city, and that's something you've managed to convey beautifully well with Katie. Not only does she have her own personal life and history to cope with, the displacement of time that's occurred for her is a theme that comes up in her narratives, her unease at the shift. It doesn't stop her from living her life, but it's always good to see both sides and the gradual adjustment therein. In particular, missing experiences like the farmer's market was a really nice touch this month.

I think that playing a character like Eames must be such a challenge always because there are so many layers and experiences to him, so many things that he's seen because of the unlimited potential in dreams, that he's probably more unfazed than most people in any crazy world. Even if it's odd to have these sorts of things bleeding into the actual world, the dreams have prepared Eames for so much. What I like is that now you have the opportunity to have him explore instead the challenging aspect of it, his curiosity sharp as he now ventures this whole new world in all of its intricacy.

Hannah Weaver

I really enjoyed reading the wedding plans thread linked last week into the main comm between Hannah and Jacob. There's a great deal of intimacy and exploring when it comes to a romantic relationship that can make for great reading, because a relationship is always about finding that balance between retaining one's own identity and molding to fit the greater relationship. To see these two very rationally discuss the matter of their impending wedding is nice and gives a lot of insight into that process.

You know how much I love S1 Heroes and all of the fantastic dynamics and characters it brought around, and it's really lovely to see some of that canon construct apply to Eden again. It's not something that Eden can immediately adjust to, not something that her time on the island's magically fixed for her, and I love seeing the lingering effects of that on the island. Life is simpler when we have less choices to turn to, so to have the possibilities suddenly widened for her is great, especially with Lily, who dangles so many of them in front of Eden like they're nothing.

No, but honestly, one of the things that I do like is the adjustment of TSN characters to the changed dynamic that comes with... removing arguably the most polarizing personality among all of them. Because, let's face it, you're either with Mark or you really, really aren't, and the removal of him makes the whole throng of these personalities more subtle. I always enjoy reading threads between them all, and the adjustment to a world that fits them better makes it especially interesting to read in Darrow.

I watched maybe the first... 5 or 6 episodes of the OC, so I have no idea what Summer is like in the latter part of the series but I am loving reading all of her debut threads and just... the heartbreaking point you take her from. So sad. That said, she is still super adorable and I love her reaction to showing up in Kaine's room and I can't wait to see what she does in the city, away from her friends/cast.

I love everything about Delta. The way he looks at things, the way he sees the world, it's all so interesting, even though I know very little about his canon. And I love his friendship with Russell and the way he didn't want to hurt him because they're friends and just, <3, Delta. My heart. We do need to thread them post-plot, especially since Russell can't avoid him for too long. XD

How you manage to make him the single most frustrating character alive and yet make me love him SO FREAKING MUCH is beyond me. It's really nice, actually, playing the optimistic to Mike's grump again, even if Andrea's a little different than Lennox. XD He's just always been so engaging and he has so many dimensions and so many sides to him that you've always been willing to explore and I love that.

And I will mash his face to Neil's forever.

This isn't as recent of a comment, because last month I don't think I really got around to kudos and so on, so forth, but I did want to mention that I really enjoy reading the interactions between Tosh and Owen. There's a lot of banter there that hints at deeper history between those two. Not knowing the canon, I'm only getting glimpses and patches of it here and there, but I really like that, it adds a lot of intrigue and it's great to kind of watch a relationship as it plays rather than knowing everything from the get-go. It's definitely always a fun read, and I hope to see more of them.

Clementine is WONDERFUL. She's sweet and she has that childlike innocence and yet I love the way you temper that with her wariness sometimes and the way she's had to grow up in some ways because of the things she's seen. Threading with her is a delight, as is reading her threads with others.

(Also, the most recent chapter of the game makes me want to have Andrea teach her how to shoot. :D)
