MEME: Most Wanted

Technically it's too late to call this a Christmas wishlist, but OH WELL.

Darrow's Most Wanted list is a constant work in progress, and one which isn't complete at present. This meme is your opportunity to add to it in a more detailed manner.

Comment to this post with the names and canons of characters you would especially like to see in the City. Whether you're simply listing or you're posting extensive essays complete with pictorial evidence (gifs) of why these characters need to be apped, anything goes. The more, the merrier!

I assume Angel's going to be showing up in about .5 seconds with a minor thesis on why somebody should bring us an Ahsoka Tano already, so I'm just gonna preemptively second whatever she has to say about that. Also Captain Rex, same deal there.

But also! I would love to see someone show up with Sabé, who you may remember as Padmé's body double in The Phantom Menace. This is very selfish, as she's one of Padmé's favorite people, but she's also a goddamn badass in her own right. She's a protagonist of two books (Queen's Peril and Queen's Shadow), a member of the Rebellion, and one of only a very small handful of people to shoot at Darth Vader and live to tell the tale. Basically, she rocks and I love her.

I would like anyone from Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, but especially Cassandra. Rapunzel wouldn't remember her, considering that she hasn't been canon updated to include the series, but she's a badass and Rapunzel's best friend, along with a bunch of other drama.





There is also Varian, an adorable teenage alchemist, temporary villain, and all around great character.



Everyone watch the show and bring Rapunzel friends, even if she doesn't remember them!

Selfishly, I'd love to see some of my pups' canon mates showing up, so let's start with them!

Caleb would love, love, LOVE to see Adam. I feel like he and Neil are in a comfortable enough place that if Adam could show up, they'd be able to handle it and work something out? They both keep his empathy in a nice green place that helps him focus. He also super misses Dr. Bright, Chloe, and even (especially?) Alice. Alice is his younger sister, and she's such a butthead but she takes care of him, and even gets some attention in her The Bright Sessions spinoff, The AM. Archives. Caleb would hate to see a Damien, but I would LOVE that for terrible reasons XD it'd also be interesting to see Caleb's friends from The College Tapes, since he hasn't met them as of his exit but they were really, really good for him and honestly just TREASURES.

I desperately want Saoirse's brother, Ben, to show up. He's a little shit head, but Saoirse is now two years older than him, and I can imagine how pissed that would make him XD also just the drama of him showing up at all could be a lot of fun to see and play out for various reasons >D

REGAN NEEDS HER BROTHER, TOO. She misses Marcus so much. Seeing her parents could be really fun and interesting to play, but it'd just tick her off mostly XD for Regan, her main hope is her brother. She thinks he'd really benefit from being in Darrow, and get the chance to grow more comfortably, in a world with none of the creatures.

Okay so I know none of you love me enough to listen to The Adventure Zone, but did you know that you can also read The Adventure Zone? The first three arcs have been turned into graphic novels, which rock, and the rest are on their way! Also if you read the graphic novels you'll probably want to listen to the rest of the show, thereby playing straight into my evil plan, muahahahahaha.

ANYWAY. I would love to see anyone else from TAZ in Darrow, but Lup would like to specifically request one Mr. Barry Bluejeans, who is an absolute dingus nerd, also a lich, probably a necromancer, and the love of her stupid life. She kind of misses him a whole lot. Also, he might not even remember who she is, it'll be great

That's Taako, her twin brother, who is... look, imagine a second Lup, except more chaotic and a lil bit more amoral. That's Taako. He's one of the leads of the show so you'd have lots of canon to work with, is an absolutely delightful gremlin child, and definitely doesn't remember who she is. I desperately need someone to app him and reunite these horrible chaotic goofballs so that they can rain absolute mayhem and trollery down upon the good citizens of Darrow.

The Old Guard

Honestly, I would take any of the old guard (gimme an Andy, Nile, or Booker), but obviously, the top demand for me is Joe because Nicky hasn't been without him for this long in ever, and also he's a handsome motherfucker who is an artist and almost a thousand years old and has lots to work out in re: betrayal.

But also, Andy, Nile, and Booker would equally be excellent, especially for buddy comedy antics.

I was saying last night that as much as I'd like Joe, story-wise there's just something so appealing to the thought of Andy and Booker, for different reasons. For Andy, there's the mortality factor and how much Nicky will want to wrap her in bubble wrap, and for Booker, there's the 'what do you do about exile when you CAN'T exile truly'.

Once upon a time, Octavia had four canonmates in Darrow. Now, sadly, she has none. I could go on forever listing characters from The 100 I'd love to see in the city (that's The Hundred, FYI, not "the one hundred"), but I'll just point out a few:

Bellamy Blake
Octavia's big brother. They had a pretty tight relationship in Darrow, but depending on when he's brought from there could be all kinds of complications there. Plus he's a really interestingly complex character in general.


Lincoln
Octavia's first love. He's a Grounder, a sweetheart, and a total badass. I would love to see him back in Darrow just for him and the opportunities the cities could provide him, his relationship with O aside.


Clarke Griffin
The show could be described as an ensemble cast, but really, Clarke is the main character. She's tough, and another badass (a common theme in this show), and goes through so much growth and change through the series that there are many places you could bring her from depending on what you wanted to do with her in the city.


John Murphy
This absolute trash child. This precious asshole. What can I say about Murphy? You start out hating him and then suddenly you love him so much you can't stand it. He's a rebel who sometimes has a cause, a tremendous smartass, and a guy just trying to survive.


Jasper Jordan and Monty Green
They could come separately, but these guys are two peas in a pod. BFFs and both are precious, in their own ways. Jasper is the goofball with a heart of gold, and Monty is the smartypants who must be protected at all costs.

I feel like the obvious asks here are Liz, Max, and Isobel, but also a Kyle would be INCREDIBLE, as would a Maria (esp with the previous Maria DeLuca being from the OG Roswell). Marvel at the fact that Michael has become a non-fuckup! He can actually do things! He's a father! And has a job!

AHSOKA TANO

So this is a very selfish one, but Anakin misses his Padawan and friend SO MUCH.




Ahsoka is a tiny chaos gremlin, a badass and a great friend. And beyond Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, she has a lot of great ground to explore in Darrow, in a world away from the Jedi Order, and the Republic (and fall of the Republic). Like the other Jedi, she could really benefit from the clean slate Darrow provides.

Also, Anakin needs someone else not afraid to just give him shit all the time.

JULES VAUGHN, EUPHORIA


More selfishness from me! Jules is Rue's best friend in canon and outside of their very messy and brief relationship, Jules is a super interesting character who could get a lot out of Darrow. She's sweet, cheerful and confident, so she'd make friends easily, but she still has so much to learn.

Yes, all right, this is entirely selfish, but Darrow needs more Discworld pups. I have no gifs, but I do have some encouragement in the form of canon quotes. Here are my very predictable top three.

Sybil Vimes

She couldn’t do worse, but then, he couldn’t do better. So maybe it balanced out. She wasn’t getting any younger but then, who was? Carrot Ironfoundersson

Some people have inspired whole countries to great deeds because of the power of their vision. And so could he. Not because he dreams about marching hordes, or world domination, or an empire of a thousand years. Just because he thinks that everyone’s really decent underneath and would get along just fine if only they made the effort, and he believes that so strongly it burns like a flame which is bigger than he is. He’s got a dream and we’re all part of it, so that it shapes the world around him. And the weird thing is that no one wants to disappoint him. It’d be like kicking the biggest puppy in the universe. It’s a kind of magic.

Angua von Uberwald

It was hard to be a vegetarian who had to pick bits of meat out of her teeth in the morning. She was definitely on top of it, though. Definitely, she reassured herself. It was Angua’s mind that prowled the night, not a werewolf mind. She was almost entirely sure of that. A werewolf wouldn’t stop at chickens, not by a long way. She shuddered. Who was she kidding? It was easy to be a vegetarian by day, It was preventing yourself becoming a humanitarian at night that took the real effort.

TED LASSO


Probably because I just finished a very quick binge of this show today, but Ted Lasso is the sweetest, kindest man who would bring a lot of light to Darrow. He'd just want to be everyone's dad and could maybe coach a Drembleydrop team! If he can coach soccer without knowing anything about it, maybe he could do Drembleydrop too!

It's funny because I was legit thinking about what Ted would be like in Darrow (because I am on my fifth rewatch) and I was almost about to throw him in the test drive!

I equally thought briefly about Roy, but only because I enjoy the thought of him deciding "FUCK NO" about just so much of the city.

So this requires someone to have an interest in actually watching a k-drama and then dealing with the goddamn MESS that is this man, but Ahn desperately misses his guardian/older brother Kang Sungmo. Without going into too much detail and spoiling everything, Sungmo is about on par with Ahn in terms of being a main character in the show, and there is so much to work with there. So much. SO MUCH. I CANNOT UNDERSTATE HOW INTERESTING AND DIFFICULT AND AMAZING IT WOULD BE IF WE HAD SUNGMO. Especially depending on when Sungmo would be brought in from in canon. He is also the only person in the world Ahn hasn't been able to read.
