Eleven steps out of the mall with Max, an ice cream in her hand, and onto a street that isn't in Hawkins. She stops abruptly.

"Max," she says. When there's no answer, she turns to look; Max isn't there. She frowns. "Max?" When she looks behind her, the mall isn't there, either. It's a small bookstore, right on the sidewalk.

She tenses, breath starting to come quicker. This isn't Hawkins. This isn't where she's supposed to be.

"Mike? Mike!"
