MEME: Off-Screen
Meme for a Thursday! We haven't done this one in three years apparently!!
There's only so much of our characters' lives we can (or would even want) to play out, so we can all assume that there's a lot more going on off-screen, as it were, than happens in threads. Today's meme is for illuminating characters' day-to-day lives and sharing details that their friends, classmates, and co-workers may or may not be aware of. The questions below are a jumping off point; feel free to remove some or add more, and to ask each other questions or let them know, what do you assume about interactions between your characters? How often do they hang out? What kinds of things do they do? Or respond expanding upon someone else's answers, with details about things you think might have happened or could happen between your characters. What is their daily life like in Darrow? Feel free to use these as jumping off points for possible threads or to inspire future EPs. (Questions are addressed to the characters to avoid pronoun confusion, but may be answered from the player's perspective, whatever's easiest/most interesting for you.

Occupation: auto-shop employee; college student
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Football, Quidditch, video games, gym, Harry Potter in general, suddengram
Relationship status: Taken
Daily activities, routines, habits: Caleb takes his physical health pretty seriously, so he's a very active member of Darrow's gym scene, and doesn't often indulge in sweets or fatty foods.
Places you can be found frequenting: He lives in High Gate now that he's over 18, so residents may have noticed him there. He also now attends Barton, so he's there a lot, too, and he's keeping up the job that Michael had gotten him at the autoshop. He also visits Candlewood frequently, as that's where his boyfriend lives (who happens to share an apartment with one of his best friends!), and he visits the Guerin household at the beach, too. Basically, he's... everywhere lmao
Places you never go, if any: He tries not to go to especially busy or crowded places without some sort of emotional backup, and you will never, ever find him in a strip club or sex store.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Thanks to his empathy, Caleb often 'zones out' as he tries to parse through the various emotional input he gets from the people around him. In these moments, you can see Caleb's eyes lose focus and he seems to go off into his own little world. Another thing you'll notice, talking with him, is that he is alarmingly perceptive, again, thanks to his empathy. If you don't know about his ability, it can be a bit jarring, and he's very conscious of it now so he tries to be careful.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Neil Perry, Rosie Wilson, Alex Stern and Daniel Arlington, Michael and Alex Guerin, Luke Crain
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? A true Gen Z-er, Caleb is practically married to his phone. If he's not actively doing something else, he can be seen on suddengram, texting, etc., very often.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? Caleb was assigned to Darrow's Home for Children when he arrived, because he was underage. Shortly after, Michael let him rent his old apartment in Candlewood, but issues with his empathy led him to finding an apartment of his own in High Gate Terrace. If he has any neighbors, they're currently NPCs and he's just fine with that.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? He's super fine socializing at home or at the home of whomever he's socializing with. Being in public and around crowds can be difficult for him, if he doesn't have someone he's close to providing an emotional barrier. He still goes out sometimes, though, to try to push his own boundaries. He's not a shy dude, so he'll readily interact with someone if the opportunity strikes.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: With friends? Hundred percent. Caleb loves his friends and will talk their ears off about football, Harry Potter, or anything else if give the chance. He also likes learning, though he'll never admit it, so he'll happily listen to someone drone on about whatever is interesting them at a given moment, too. With strangers, it'll depend on the circumstances. His empathy allows him to know when someone wants to be left alone, and when someone wants a friend even if they don't know it. He won't be a dick to someone, but he also won't try to foist himself upon someone if he thinks they don't want him to.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? It's about fifty-fifty! He's out all the time: at the gym, at school, at work, at Neil and Rosie's. Or, he'll just stay home with Neil and watch movies or something.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? It's his first term at Barton, so whatever sort of all-around freshman courses are offered for something like that, as well as an intro to psychology course, since he's planning on majoring in psychology.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? Currently, no pets, but that doesn't mean it'll never happen!
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? The biggest one: his empathy. Although easily recognizable as intuitive or perceptive, Caleb tries to keep his empathic ability close to the vest. Depending on certain people and certain situations, it's been necessity that he tells them, but he generally tries to keep that quiet. However, Caleb is also a huge Disney movie and all-around musical nerd.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? He's a good kid, and tries not to get into trouble, but he will also do what he has to if it means helping someone else.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Caleb hates that he can't leave. He loves his family a lot, and the fact that he can't just go visit them really upsets him if he lets himself think about it. Even though he's with Neil, he really misses Adam a lot, and wishes he could just so much as text him — or any of his Boston friends, but especially Adam — and see how he's doing, and if he's okay. He doesn't yet have a favorite thing about Darrow, but if he had to choose, he supposes its weird, Uncanny Valley brand names.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. I can't think of specific people, but anyone going to Barton as a freshman, any powered individuals, and basically anyone with a lot of emotional baggage XD
What else should we know about you? He's a derpy puppy with a beautiful face, is absurdly tall and strong for his age, and he will do anything to protect his people.

Occupation: undergraduate student at Barton. occasionally fills in behind the bar at The Bite. He's going to pick up a job on campus at some point soon I JUST HAVEN'T DECIDED WHAT.
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: He's athletic but kinda lazy. He loves baseball, but rarely plays it. He likes to swim. He wanders a lot, but wouldn't consider it ~~walking. He reads, more than you would think, and he writes a lot. He loves movies, especially old B horror and westerns. He used to own Phoenix Records (briefly), and is really into music, but mostly 80s shoegaze and dream pop and post-punk/goth.
Relationship status: separated
Daily activities, routines, habits: He's full time at Barton, so he goes to class. He's at the library more often. He likes writing outside, in quiet places. But he also spends a lot of time with Theon Greyjoy, at his new place, and with Derek Hale. Currently, he lives with Marcus' and his clan, so he's with them a lot, too. He's a smoker, so he's outside doing that, a lot.
Places you can be found frequenting: Barton U. The Bite. Phoenix Records. The indie theater, which I can't recall if we've ever named. The Hideout, on occasion. He likes the park and the abandoned amusement park, and the graveyard...
Places you never go, if any: He's been avoiding his old apartment building with R and Edgar, but otherwise... not really?
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Something I tend to forget is that Neil has both his ears pierced, and often wears small hoops. He has a leather bracelet given to him by Edgar, which he still often wears. He's not wearing his wedding bands. Like I said above, he's a smoker, and an occasional drug user (less often lately), but he does smoke weed fairly often, so your pup might notice the smell of that around him. He's got a beat up leather messenger bag, which he carries his laptop in, that he got from a vintage store and is often carrying these days. Generally, he wears plain t-shirts and jeans, and in the winter, he almost always wears a leather jacket. His hair is getting shaggy. He chews his nails. He's a sloucher and a bit of a mumbler, but he's not as careless or unintelligent as he might sometimes seem. He's a flirt, and can be aggressive about it, but it's usually either a joke or a way to feel someone out. OH, and it is not really easy to tell from his icons, but despite his PB, Neil's eyes are a dark, kind of piercing blue.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Marcus Keane, Derek Hale, Namkung Yona, Theon Greyjoy, Sansa Stark. It feels weird to leave Grantaire and Edgar off of this list, but.
He is in contact with Sam Winchester fairly frequently, too, but that's mostly handwaved.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? He checks his email more than once a day, because of school. He's not great about answering his phone, and keeps it on silent. He does text, and returns texts quickly, so that's a pretty good way to get in touch with him. The last person he texted was either Marcus or Derek.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? He hasn't lived in his assigned apartment in years. Right now, he's living with Marcus, out in the woods.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? He likes to go out. He likes to drink. He likes bars. He goes less often, these days, and doesn't get sloppy fucking drunk like he used to, but yeah. He'll hang out at home, too, though. And he occasionally interacts with his classmates and he's friendly enough with his coworkers (unless they're assholes, which he often thinks they are) but he prefers to socialize outside of those circles.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: He's not likely to strike up a conversation with a stranger unless there's something particularly interesting about them, but he's pretty open and demonstrative with friends. THAT SAID, he's moody and likes to push buttons, so having him strike up a conversation with you is not always a super pleasant experience, unless you like some smug little jerk giving you shit.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? He goes out pretty much, even if it's just to wander. He's a restless person and doesn't really like to be alone with his own thoughts, unless he has somewhere to put them (writing).
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? He's got a full course load, going into his second full-time year, but because he did a year part-time, he's taking courses as a second semester sophomore. He's already declared as a creative writing major, so he's taking a lot of English classes.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? Ha ha he has two cats, but they're currently living with his estranged husbands.
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? LOL I feel like I've covered most of it, already. He was a prostitute, from the age of 15 to almost 20, but that's pretty common knowledge. He doesn't hide it. He's from Kansas! He lived in New York for about six months, after wanting to move there since he was a kid, but he kinda fucking hated it. He was born in the 70s, and left canon in 1991, but a lot of his pop culture knowledge has had time to update, since he's been in Darrow for ages. There was another version of him in Darrow before, much better adjusted, but that's also mostly common knowledge.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? He has a record! He got arrested for misdemeanor prostitution, early in his time in Darrow. He's not opposed to most shenanigans, but he's also trying to keep from getting his dumb ass arrested again. His probation's been up for a while, though.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? He likes his friends. He likes that it's kind of forced him away from the self-destructive cycle he'd fallen into, back home. He doesn't like that he can't just get in his car and GO, even if just for a few days. He doesn't like that it takes people away. He doesn't like that it seems to fuck with them all, for fun.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. IDK I'm terrible at this. Anyone.
What else should we know about you? Is probably a decent singer but does it very rarely.

lol I know we can, but like I said when we talked about it before, Neil kind of freaked out when it came time to ask. I know that they’re not being held hostage, he’s just hung up about it.

Occupation: "investigative research and security" at The Archive
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Daisy likes going for runs and staying fit. She keeps up with Darrow's podcast scene and is getting super into a serial called The Fletchers. Occasionally, though less frequently than it used to be, Daisy goes on scavenger hunts around the city for a small figurine that John hides.
Relationship status: single, please
Daily activities, routines, habits: She runs twice a day, and does yoga, and takes care of the kalanchoe that Martin bought her as a housewarming-cum-apology gift.
Places you can be found frequenting: Literally any large gathering of people or
unusualtotally normal occurrence thatnevertook place the year prior. Because she runs around the city so much, she can be found pretty much anywhere. She wants to know all the nooks and crannies.Places you never go, if any:
undergroundWhat are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Daisy doesn't like being alone, and she doesn't like when it's too quiet — quiet enough to hear the Blood — so she actively seeks out busier areas when she's really feeling that. When she's comfortable enough with a person, she's prone to casual physical contact and even smiling.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: The Archive crew. That's... that's basically it.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? She doesn't love using her phone, but she'll answer it and respond to texts when she gets them. Email and social networking are kind of a tossup.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? No, she moved into the Bramford Building
because she's codependentto be closer to John and Martin.Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? The bulk of Daisy's socializing happens at work, but she also likes going out to the bar for an easy drink. As long as the people she cares about are safe and happy, she's happy.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: Fairly likely, on both counts. She likes collecting information, and that includes information about people. It may take her some time to warm up, but she still does it.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? Go out, though not necessarily for partying or the like. Just for the sake of not being alone.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? None
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? She has a steadily growing collection of succulents, beginning with the kalanchoe that Martin bought her. She has named each of them, and talks to them daily, and she will never admit to this, and if John tells anyone she will rip his whole face off.
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? Daisy is constantly struggling with PTSD from her time in The Buried, and she is constantly struggling with balancing The Hunt so she doesn't lose herself again. She used to be a detective in London, but she won't pick that back up due to the complicated history she has with that career.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Don't get caught, duh. Idiots.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Her favorite thing about Darrow is that the Entities seem to have a much weaker grasp, here, and don't seem directly involved in any of the shenanigans. Her least favorite thing is the fact that she doesn't know if Basira is alright. The hardest thing to adjust to is ignoring the fact that the city itself is one giant prison.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. DAVID ROSE. I keep saying this, and Leah and I have tentative arrangements, but I feel like they'd be really funny and interesting together. I definitely want her friendship with Kat to grow stronger, too, and for her and Eliot to hang out and chat more. She needs, generally, more people to meet. I sort of want to see how she and Celeste Montgomery do in the same room together?
What else should we know about you? She's actually pretty cool and funny, once you get past her initial standoffishness. Also, she can seriously hold her liquor.

Occupation: High school student, just starting senior year at Petros. Not terribly interested in an actual job!
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Robin Buckley, bad reality TV, moderate to heavy drug use.
Relationship status: In a relationship with Robin Buckley
Daily activities, routines, habits: Now that summer's over, she goes to school, then probably tries to hang out with her girlfriend or drops in on other friends unceremoniously to shoot the shit. On the weekends, she does go to any parties there are, but she's not so much a partier as wanting a place free from the eyes of the workers at the Home.
Places you can be found frequenting: The Children's Home (for the next week and a bit), but I figure she also spends a lot of time at Robin and Steve's apartment. She drops in on Peter every once in a while or they go somewhere and smoke together.
Places you never go, if any: She's probably never gone back to that coffee shop where she found her dad's hoodie?
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Especially now that the weather will start getting colder, Rue is pretty much always in a maroon hoodie that used to belong to her father.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Robin, Maeve, Steve, Peter, maybe Alex?
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? She's bad about checking email, but she's a teen from 2019, so she's pretty much constantly checking text or stumblr. Darrow's version of twitter and facebook are NOT her deal, though. Does Darrow have a snapchat? She probably checks that too and has an account, but doesn't post.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? She still lives in her assigned spot at the Home! I figure she definitely interacts with anyone who lives there, but probably Maeve more than a lot of people at this point? She doesn't frequent the common areas of the Home super often, and is more likely to go to her room with her phone and put headphones in.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? Rue keeps to herself a LOT. She probably has a handful of people she'll talk to at school, but it's usually just established acquaintances after school that she talks to.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: Strangers, not likely. Friends and acquaintances: absolutely always to an annoying degree.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? She's out a lot. If she's not dropping in on her girlfriend or other friends, she's at some random house party to score pills.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? Normal high school shit!
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? LOL she has a tattoo inside her lower lip from her (only) previous relationship, and also the drug thing? Only Alex (and maybe Dan!) really know the extend of Rue's drug addiction right now. And pretty much nobody knows WHY she uses? I figure she'll probably tell a few close friends eventually, most about her diagnoses, but she hasn't gotten there just yet.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? In Darrow, she mostly doesn't get caught, except for once or twice when she didn't make it back to the Home by curfew.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to?
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. Rosie! Maeve! The people she'd have regular contact with but don't get to thread with her often. Probably Sabrina too, since she knows Dan and Marcus.
What else should we know about you? She's funny and outgoing and kinda weird once she gets to know someone, but it doesn't come out of her at first!

Occupation: Formerly commander of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, currently not doing much of anything, soon to join the Darrow PD
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Being nosy, trying to get to know Darrow’s streets as much as possible. He’s very bad at hobbies.
Relationship status: Married, desperately missing his wife and son.
Daily activities, routines, habits: Since he can’t really cook, Vimes eats most of his meals out somewhere, usually in greasy spoon diners. He really does believe in memorizing every corner of Darrow that he can, so without much else to do, he spends a lot of time walking around the city. Within the next couple months he will be a detective at precinct 3 and will spend 110% of his time working, but for now he’s at loose ends.
Places you can be found frequenting: The boardwalk, a diner near Ocean View Apartments that has become his regular breakfast place (and which I really need to come up with a name for), the Darrow Gun Club, very reluctantly.
Places you never go, if any: I don’t think there is anywhere he would never, ever go, but he isn’t likely to venture out to the countryside without a very good reason. Nature is not to be trusted.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Take it away, William de Worde: Everything about him could be prefaced by the word ‘badly,’ as in -spoken, -educated, and -in need of a drink.
Vimes smokes terrible, cheap cigars, which he incongruously keeps in a very fancy silver case, he always looks like he needs a shave, and his clothes look perpetually rumpled. When talking to him, it won’t take long to figure out that he’s from somewhere that isn’t Earth—on the one hand, he has weird gaps in his knowledge, and on the other, he’s mostly unfazed by Darrow’s magical quirks.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: He’s still getting to know people, so there aren’t yet many that he spends time with consistently. He does try to check on Marianne Sheridan pretty regularly.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? Hah. Well, after initially tossing his phone off the pier, he figured out that phones actually were useful and bought a new one. Sometimes Marianne texts him. He hasn’t really figured out how to text her back. Maybe someday he’ll figure out how email works.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? Yep, he’s still in Ocean View Apartments, and he sometimes hangs out in the courtyard. He’s not very chatty, but he’s not actively unfriendly, either.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? Vimes doesn’t really know how to socialize? It’s not that he keeps to himself, but he basically doesn’t know how to have friends that aren’t cops or have interactions with people that aren’t cop-related.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: See above. He isn’t the most chatty person. but if you’re doing something weird or suspicious, or you look like you’re in trouble, he’s not afraid to get involved. If he knows you and likes you, he’s somewhat more likely to strike up a random conversation, but not that much.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? His apartment depresses the hell out of him, so he tries to stay out and about whenever possible.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? Ha ha ha
should he get a swamp dragon y/n?What are some things about you others might not be aware of? He comes from a world that is shaped like a disc! There are lots of fantasy creatures who live there, and also parody versions of most major earth countries! Back home he’s insanely rich and duke, which he still finds super weird! He’s descended from the Disc’s version of Oliver Cromwell, who personally killed the last king of Ankh-Morpork, Jamie Lannister style!
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? I mean, it really depends on your point of view. He’s willing to
breakbend a lot of rules for the sake of justice, and also he really enjoys pissing off people in power.Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Oh boy, he hates everything about Darrow so far. He’s having a very hard time being away from his family and his work, and while it will get a little better once he’s working again, it still won’t be the same.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. I want moar Marianne, Hopper, Daniel Sousa, and Julie! I looove that he keeps running into Patrick at inopportune times and want it to happen again. He should meet more cops, more people from fantasy/sci fi worlds, more political pups, pretty much anyone. He’s still in the getting-to-know-people phase, so I'm eager to have him build relationships with people.
What else should we know about you? Once you get past all that grumpiness, he really is incredibly kind and loyal.

Occupation: Restaurant Owner and EMT
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Sometimes teaches self-defense classes. Sometimes volunteers at a soup kitchen. She probably won’t admit to either of these things.
Relationship status: Not interested. Occasionally sleeps with people
Daily activities, routines, habits: Depends on where she's working. She maintains her caginess about traveling to and from anywhere, though, so it's not really possible to follow her in her routine from day to day.
Places you can be found frequenting: Off the Wall, Bondurant’s, her station
Places you never go, if any: Churches or other religious places.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? She hardly ever carries a purse. She doesn’t wear makeup except on special occasions. She’s almost always armed, but hopefully no one notices that. Otherwise she probably seems a little standoffish, but not completely unfriendly.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Her waitresses, the ambulance crew, probably Jim and John Riley.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? Social media is a way to be traced. She doesn’t use it. She has two phones, one of which everyone knows about and one of which she keeps in her go pack. She does text, though. She probably last texted one of her waitresses.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? She does. She’s secured it and she’s staying. She has no neighbors and is doing her best to keep it that way.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? She likes people and going out, but mostly to observe.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: A) possible b) it depends on the stranger. She’s become more friendly in Darrow.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? She works. A lot.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)?
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? None. She had two cats, but she wasn’t home enough and gave them away.
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? Literally everything, and nothing she’s going to talk about.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Yes.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? No Section, but there’s magic. This is all three answers.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. Oh, I don’t even know. Who wants to talk to a cagey cinnamon roll that could kill you (but probably won’t)?
What else should we know about you? Whatever you think she’s thinking, she probably isn’t thinking.

Occupation: Analyst for DPD
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: The man needs more hobbies. But he does like reading detective novels
Relationship status: Single
Daily activities, routines, habits: Working, PT, going to mass
Places you can be found frequenting: the precinct, his parish, Yeselevsky’s, a local coffee shop (not Ahab’s, if he can avoid it)
Places you never go, if any: None
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? He usually has a cane. If he doesn’t, he’s probably limping a little.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: John. Not sure about anyone else. Maybe Julia or Julie?
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? He can text, but they still look a little like telegrams. He doesn’t do social media. He probably last texted someone at the precinct.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? He does, and he doesn’t interact much with them. He’s not impolite, but he’s a New Yorker. You gotta maintain your space where you can find it.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? He’s a pretty friendly guy, so he’ll talk to just about anyone. He might not tell them anything deep and dark about himself, though.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: High in both cases.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? He's sort of a homebody, especially if he's gotten some good books from the library recently.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)?
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor?
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? He’s quite religious, but doesn’t tend to talk about it.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Depends on the situation. Might be all three.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? More accommodations for his disability, but his family and friends aren’t here.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. Vimes. And I’d love to introduce him to some of the space people. That’ll blow his mind.
What else should we know about you? To quote AoS, things faze him, just not on his face, so I and he are open to any threads/plots/etc.

Name and aliases: Anakin Skywalker. Though Padmé might call him Ani.
Occupation: (Former?) Jedi
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Padmé, training, tinkering with machines... he doesn't have any other hobbies!
Relationship status: In a PUBLIC relationship with Padmé Amidala
Daily activities, routines, habits: Anakin doesn't have much of a routine to speak of, these days. He wakes up early because he's used to it from being in the Jedi Order. I figure he spends a lot of time with Padmé, but also with Obi-Wan, but also explores.
Places you can be found frequenting: Nothing set in stone yet, but he'll probably discover the scrap yard soon and be there a lot. The countryside, for lightsaber training.
Places you never go, if any: He's not fond of the beach >:O
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? He's always dressed in rather modest-looking clothes. Browns and whites and blacks, and always has his lightsaber clipped onto his belt. He doesn't have a cloak at the moment, so it's always visible.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Padmé, Obi-Wan... I imagine at some point, Ben and Rey will be on this list.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? Darrow's technology is very primitive to him, so Anakin doesn't really use his phone yet.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? He does, for the most part! He sort of half lives in his assigned apartment and half lives with Padmé? He's probably cordial to the people who live in his building, but not super chatty.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself?
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: Likely to do both!
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? Kind of a combination of both! He's still in the stage where he's exploring the city, but also he spends a lot of time with Padmé.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? N/A
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? No pets!
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? Right now, it's more the opposite! There's a bunch HE'S not aware of. But he hasn't told anyone yet that he's still been having nightmares that he thinks are prophetic.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Surprisingly, he hasn't gotten into any trouble so far in Darrow, but it's only a matter of time.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to?
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. The Untamed dudes!
What else should we know about you? Once you're one of his people, he will do literally anything to protect you.

TALK TO UR LOVED ONES, ANAKIN, THIS IS HOW WE WOUND UP WITH THE BAD TIMELINE
no subject
Occupation: High school student, and behind the counter at Graymark Books
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: She enjoys people-watching, keeping an eye on what's going on in Darrow and getting to know every nook and cranny of the place, getting to know the city and how it changes. She enjoys playing with fashion and listening to music. Ridiculous fried food. Lately she's been reading more, and discovered that she enjoys acting. She goes to Fight Club pretty regularly and I've been meaning to get a roller derby team started
but uh, that hasn't happened yet.Relationship status: dating Ellie Williams
Daily activities, routines, habits: Her daily habits change, but when she's not in school, she's often working these days, or spending time with Ellie. If she has time to herself she usually spends it out of the house, wandering Darrow. She tends to grab coffee out, but cooks (a bit sparsely) for herself.
Places you can be found frequenting: Darrow High School, her apartment in the Bramford, Konoha-Uchi, Graymark Books, the boardwalk, the park, wandering around
Places you never go, if any: She avoids a certain (unnamed by me) club a little bit, and will not go to a (non-default) set of condos ever since a certain incident a couple years ago, but it would be hard to figure that last bit out unless you're Rosie or Octavia.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Eponine has a spontaneous, devil-may-care sort of attitude when she's in a good mood, and she tends to perch, hum, skip, sit the wrong way on chairs, and state what she thinks boldly. For all of that, if she's on guard or out of her depth, she'll be quiet and still, observe before speaking, and even in a good mood those who don't know her well may notice that she's more flippant than she is forthcoming -- though once she determines someone cares about her, she'll open up to them. Eponine has a (now somewhat mellowed) French accent, and can and will segue into French, especially if she knows the person she's speaking to can speak it back. She's usually dressed in a way that might be dumped into "grunge" or "alternative", and tends towards more practical materials, although that might be more androgynous or more feminine at any given moment and has occasionally veered off into prettier for formal occasions. She wears boots nearly all the time and almost always has a sturdy knapsack or messenger type bag. She wears a plain silver cross usually tucked into a shirt, ever since Betty Cooper's possession in the Children's Home. She also always has a knife on her, one of a couple of Lila's that she rescued after she disappeared, which she keeps hidden but more astute/military pups may pick up on.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Elio, Ellie, Bev, Jamie, Octavia, Rosie, Laura, Derek, Eddie, Marcus. Grantaire, more handwavedly. More recently, other pups who have been in Twelfth Night with her, like Neil P.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? She doesn't use email particularly often, but she does use texts (much more frequently than calls: she finds phone calls to be slightly more disconcerting than immediate messages). The last person she texted was likely Ellie; possibly Elio, or specifically right now, Rosie or Neil.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? Since she was assigned to the Children's Home upon arrival, no, but she moved to the Bramford Building upon turning 18 and still lives there. Her NPC neighbors and she maintain a polite apathy and don't bother each other. Bev and Hopper live just upstairs
which somehow I didn't knowand Octavia lives downstairs, so I imagine they spend time at each other's places now and then. Maybe sit out on the fire escapes together?Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? She tends to spend most of her time outside the home, but that doesn't mean she has to be doing something "out" -- for example, she really likes Ellie's house and just hanging around there. She doesn't interact much with classmates, except the ones she already knows, mostly because she has a bit of a reputation in her year for being (stupid -- she's behind a year and a bit in school/easy/crazy/all three).
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: She'll walk right up to most people and start talking to them, unless they ping her as dangerous.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? As mentioned before, go out a lot.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? She's entering her senior year, though she's thinking about just ditching it and getting a GED (make up your mind fast, Eponine!). She takes AP French but otherwise normal classes, after having taken remedial English Lit and History for her first couple of years.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? Nope!
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? Her first summer in Darrow, she was sexually assaulted, which some know and some don't. What most people don't know is that, after a spree of targeting creeps who preyed on underage and barely-legal girls, she and Octavia killed her rapist (though the intention was initially scaring him and maybe some, you know, light torture, as they'd done with the others). Rosie, Marcus, and Octavia are (I think?) the only ones who know that detail specifically, although it'll certainly come up with Ellie at some point and will almost certainly come up (or already has offscreen) with Bev.
Beyond that, she spent most of her adolescence as a thief, scout and prostitute under the direction of her father, helping him con rich men into giving them money -- but expected to sweeten the deal if it was necessary. Again, some people know some of this. Most of them don't know all of it.
She has tell-tale signs of PTSD and panic disorder (canonically!) including visual hallucinations, dissociative episodes and paranoid thinking, though the worst of these were in Paris. She doesn't talk about this to her friends.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Ha. She doesn't get caught. At least not if she's trying very hard.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Favorite are the people she's met, that she has food on a regular basis, that her history doesn't damn her. The magic (which includes technology, but she basically doesn't care). Least favorite are people disappearing, and the way the city likes to haunt people.
Technology is also the most difficult to adjust to, but she's a quick learner. She still doesn't like cars, though.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. She certainly needs to know the significant others and/or best friends of her friends better, though she's made headway there. Angry girls, fighters, people with not quite normal childhoods.
What else should we know about you? Umm...her extended profile is here and only a little out of date!

plus all proper French r-gargling. He had a given name, of course, but legally dropped it when he added McCormick, and no one uses it.Occupation: Co-something of Green Gardens, self-employed artist
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Art, fighting (specifically savate et canne, though he will do other things), reading, rambling at length, having too many feelings. Food. Good food. Knowing where to get the best everything -- whether that's good conversation, cheap clothes, fantastic dessert. Terrible puns.
Relationship status: Married to Edgar and separated from Neil McCormick, so that's a wrinkle for Darrow's city clerk and whoever okayed polyamorous marriage here. (But not actually a very complex one. Just a sad one.)
Daily activities, routines, habits: Recently he's been doing a lot of work on Shakespeare in the Park, but generally, being woken up by a hungry cat, going to work at Green Gardens, spending time with Edgar, poking around any new places that have opened up the neighborhood. Sometimes drawing or painting. Sometimes going to an AA meeting.
Places you can be found frequenting: The above, for the most part. He's a bit more of a homebody now that he is again, trying to be sober, so although he goes out for dinner or to spend time with friends, he can just as regularly be found curled up on the couch watching something stupid.
Places you never go, if any: He's unlikely to go back to the apartment he, Edgar and Neil shared too readily. Probably also giving Marcus and Dan &co a wide berth for a little bit, not out of anger or distaste, just out of shame.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Grantaire speaks with his hands, and he makes references and puns frequently. His French accent is much less prominent than it was when he first arrived on Tabula Rasa, and then in Darrow, but it's still there enough to notice. He swears a lot, and creatively, when he's upset/scared/surprised.
Grantaire tends to have a little bit of an s-curve to how loud he is -- if you don't know him at all, he's a big personality, and he'll quiet down a little once he actually wants to impress you; then he'll open back up again to his closest friends.
He hasn't worn primarily 1830s clothing for a long time and can easily be found in jeans and a t-shirt, but he still does find an extra layer - jacket, vest or both - more appropriate when not planning to get messy, and often wears a waistcoat with t-shirt or buttondown, jeans and boots.
He's still wearing his wedding rings, as they're a commitment to Edgar as well as Neil, and if you catch him without a shirt, he has a tattoo that says croire on his left side chest.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Edgar, Yona, Jyn, Greta, Zoe. The Shakespeare in the Park crew lately. I handwave that he and Eponine keep up with each other -- not like best friends, more like extended family.
Feels wrong not to say Neil on here, but, c'est la vie.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? He hasn't used email too often, but he does check it, especially since having handed out business cards at Darrowfest. He texts readily, if not a lot, and will call, though he's spent more time around people who text more. The last person he texted was almost undoubtedly Edgar. Someone has probably mentioned to him that he should have a Suddengram for his art.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? He does not. He and Edgar and Yona live ...somewhere. Ha. Um.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? He tends to watch people first before talking (unless he just starts talking to everyone, which is also a possibility) and enjoys the cameraderie of an atmosphere where people all joke and laugh together even if he's not involved, but he'll start a conversation with people sitting nearby. He tends to socialize in more intimate spaces now that he doesn't drink, but if he can find a lively space that isn't a club or bar to hang out with people in, he isn't against it.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: With friends, he'll start the conversation; with strangers he'll usually get a feel for them first and then interject himself into conversation when he has something to contribute (no matter how bizarre).
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? Stays home a little more often than not, though he likes to go out for dinner.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? He teaches extracurricular art classes at Green Gardens, along with now basically assistant directing the place.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? Three cats, only one of which was his to begin with: Owen Glenmeower, Trick, and Treat -- and there's Fred, Yona's dog, who's a member of the family too. Indoor.
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? Uh, he died by firing squad while holding the hand of the revolutionary leader he had a crush on? Grantaire's a relatively open book, possibly to the annoyance of other people -- it just depends how well you know him. The graphic details of what he saw on Barricade Day are probably the least well known to other people. Or little details about his upbringing. His parents expected him to make something of himself, specifically a financial something of himself, and he didn't fit their idea.
I guess the extent of his depression and issues around belief in himself and other people, and of his fears about/need to be wanted or needed are probably not totally apparent to most people, but, eh.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Tries to stay out of it, these days. Often gets stuck in it anyway, but not legal trouble, just...Darrow trouble.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Favorite things are the people, and the acceptance of queerness. Least favorite is the being stuck, and people disappearing. Difficult was definitely the technology.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. More guy friends! Recovering alcoholics or other people to party with while not drinking, ex-revolutionaries, more people who aren't best friends with Neil...
What else should we know about you? Oh, I thought of one: he's a good cook! Not at everything, but he has his things, and he takes particular pride in making something for someone else.

Name and aliases: If you wanna get real technical, it's Padmé Amidala Naberrie Skywalker, but she goes by Padmé Amidala, for Secret Reasons.
Occupation: Former political dynamo, currently unemployed. And she really needs to fix that, because girl is bored.
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: She likes art, and music, and being politely disappointed in Darrow's lack of technology. I think she'd be really interested in learning about other people's cultural traditions, but she hasn't had much of a chance to do that yet.
Relationship status: In a relationship with Anakin Skywalker, SO THERE.
Daily activities, routines, habits: She doesn't have a routine to speak of yet, but she spends most of her time exploring the city.
Places you can be found frequenting: The park, the beach, and the woods - anywhere a little more nature-based. Also the legal section of the public library, increasingly, because she has Questions about Darrow's structure of governance.
Places you never go, if any: None.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Padmé comes across as very gracious and elegant pretty much 100% of the time, and she's pretty much always dressed half a step more formally than the occasion calls for. Incongruously, her hair is always way more simple than the rest of her outfit, because she can't really do it on her own. If she's at all upset, she'll usually slip into "Politician Face," which is a completely pleasant and neutral expression that is basically impossible to read unless you know her very well.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Anakin and Obi-Wan, but that's pretty much it for the moment.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? Padmé can use her phone quite competently, but she barely ever uses it unless she really needs to get in touch with someone, because it's bulky and primitive as hell and she doesn't much care for it at all. (Also because women's clothing here doesn't have pockets, and she's not about to go buy a bag just to carry around her communicator, thank you very much.)
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? She's pretty much splitting her time between her own apartment and Anakin's at the moment, and I'd imagine she has cordial relationships with the neighbors in both buildings. I would like for her to get out of her assigned apartment as soon as possible, because she really aggressively hates it - it's small and terrible and nothing she'd have ever chosen for herself, and basically just a constant reminder that she was brought here against her will - but that requires money that she doesn't yet have.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: High on both counts! She's naturally an extremely friendly person.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? She's out of the house more often than not, though when she's spending time with Anakin she's perfectly content to just stay in.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? None. This may change, depending on what I decide I want to do with her.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? Nope!
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? idk, she really hasn't been in Darrow long enough to be keeping things from people... She was a Very Important Politician and also a child queen back home? Honestly, at this point, it's less "things about her that others might not be aware of," and more "things about her that SHE isn't aware of, and that other people are ACTIVELY NOT TELLING HER" *stares at literally every other Star Wars pup in this gd game*
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? In theory, she doesn't get into trouble. In practice? She will get into trouble all the time, For Justice, and then get herself out of it again (or get deus ex jedi'd out of it, if she's gotten in over her head). She hasn't gotten into trouble in Darrow yet, but honestly, it's just a matter of time.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? She hasn't really been in Darrow for long enough to develop an opinion on this aside from the big-picture stuff: she likes that she can be with Anakin openly here, she doesn't like that she got yanked away from her home and dropped in a town that hasn't even developed hovercraft technology yet, and the most difficult thing to adjust to has honestly been not having anything to do - she was a high-ranking politician in the middle of a galaxy-wide war, so she's used to being busy all the time.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. Jyn Erso and her grandchildren (adopted and otherwise). Also basically anyone else who wants to get to know her!
What else should we know about you? She's really an incredibly lovely and friendly person with a huge blind spot where her friends are concerned and also she will shoot a man if she thinks she has to.

Occupation: elementary school student
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Saoirse loves playing soccer (though she still calls it footie), and she has a casual interest in electronics thanks to Regan. She also is slowly getting into horseback riding, though that's very new and underdeveloped. Her favorite TV show is still PUMA Squad!, and she's gotten really good at nail art thanks to tutorials by popular MeTube star Emmamel.
Relationship status: s i n g l e
Daily activities, routines, habits: While school is in session, Saoirse attends five days a week. She does extra-curricular soccer and maths activities, and helps take care of the chickens she got for her birthday last year. She also frequents the beach — more often in the summer months than in the winter, but at least once a month in winter, too.
Places you can be found frequenting: Brynmor, the beach, the countryside, and anywhere else she can get away with.
Places you never go, if any: Saoirse is absurdly unafraid for her age, so she has yet to find a place she Absolutely Won't Go.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? The most immediate thing people will notice is her Irish accent. Her fashion style is still developing, and is currently eclectic with vibrant colors, clashing patterns, and always, always, a small pretty necklace with a seal inside. This necklace is actually her selkie coat, hidden so that she can wear it without garnering funny looks.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Greta (of course), Regan (mostly handwaved, but also of course), Magnus Bane (need MOAR!), and Luke Crain. There are others, too, though the contact is a bit less frequent simply due to life being busy for many.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? Saoirse texts very casually, and only has an email so she can have a MeTube account, so she rarely checks it. She follows Emmamel on suddengram, too, but never posts.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? nooooo. She lives in the countryside with Greta and Regan!
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? Anywhere! Everywhere! Saoirse is a very outgoing child, sometimes recklessly so, and that hasn't changed despite the many times she's been kidnapped in Darrow.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: 100% likely on both counts. She's super friendly and sweet, and incredibly intuitive besides, so she tends towards opening up to people very quickly.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? Both! She likes being at the cottage and spending time with her family, but she loves getting out and about, seeing her friends and the interesting sights in the city.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? She's a full time elementary school student, so all the basics for that.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? so many pets! She has Cu and Sadie, of course, as well as a small flock of chickens, and she claims friendship with a family of mice that live near the wood box, though she's not allowed to pet them. (I can't remember if they have ducks, or Thomas's rats anymore?)
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? Most people that know her know this, but Saoirse is a selkie. This means she can turn into a seal, and has a strong affinity with the sea. She's slowly learning how to control her selkie changes. She also tends to, usually accidentally, summon fairy lights when she sings. They're pretty, harmless lights that lead her to safety in various ways, and she's trying to learn to control those, too.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? She tries to stay out of trouble, but trouble tends to find her XD
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? she loves Darrow. She misses her dad and brother, and even her granny, but Darrow has given her a mom and a family, and she's had a lot of fun and interesting experiences here.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. oh gosh, anyone. She loves people!
What else should we know about you? Saoirse is quite small for her age. She's nearly ten, but she passes for six. She's juuuust a little too big to ride Cu like a pony anymore (but she used to do that all the time).

Occupation: Senior at Petros High, part-time hostess at a still-unnamed fancy seafood restaurant on the boardwalk, previously ran a dog walking/petsitting service
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: She’s been a member of the Petros High choir basically since she started at the school, which I should really do more with, and this year I think she’s going to start writing for the school paper if I can make that happen. Really enjoyed being part of Shakespeare in the Park, but knows way too many better actors to make that more than an occasional thing.
Relationship status: ...complicated. Still getting over Nick’s disappearance and the lingering fallout from same, now trying to figure out what she wants out of an actual relationship with Sabrina. Still not dating Charlie, no matter what the sex cult rumors say.
Daily activities, routines, habits: School, work (usually just weekends/in the evenings now that school’s started), trying to make the most out of the brief window of downtime between when school ends and when she has to go to the restaurant. Usually the one going out to run household errands for her and Neil, I feel like. May be starting to learn self-defense from Anne Bonny sometime soon, after their conversation in Rosie’s EP a few months ago.
Places you can be found frequenting: Candlewood Apartments, Petros High, the restaurant (and the surrounding area of the boardwalk), Petros Park, the library. Spends a lot of time at both Sabrina’s house and Charlie’s; more likely to hang out with her other friends (aside from Neil because they live together) somewhere in the city rather than their houses/apartments.
Places you never go, if any: Has been avoiding the general area around Chelsea Cloisters ever since Nick disappeared, but other than that, not really.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? It happens way more with people she knows well, but Rosie can be very blunt and direct on occasion--one of the examples of what she thinks of as her tendency to say the wrong thing, but it’s never wrong so much as unexpected given how polite she is a lot of the time. Hardly ever swears, and when she does it’s obvious that it’s not something she does a lot. Used to wear the bracelet Nick got her for Christmas a lot, but since he vanished it’s gone to the bottom of her jewelry box (maybe it’ll come back out again later). More likely to wear skirts and dresses rather than jeans, but that’s slowly changing.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Sabrina Spellman, Charlie Bartlett, Neil Perry, Caleb Michaels, Newt Kavinsky, Eponine, Jamie, Octavia Blake.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? She’s pretty good with email/texting/social media, but being from 1960 she tends to call people on the phone. Still hasn’t gotten out of the habit of leaving Neil a handwritten note on their kitchen counter when she’s going out unexpectedly (even when texting would be easier/faster). Really enjoys posting photos on Suddengram, but hasn’t quite gotten the hashtag thing down.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? Hasn’t lived at the Children’s Home for about a year and change--she got emancipated and moved to Candlewood with Neil Perry last summer. Tries to be a good neighbor, really likely to at least say hi or otherwise greet people in the hall or down in the lobby of the building.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? A pretty even mix between socializing at home and elsewhere! The closer you are to her, the more likely it is she’ll invite you over or hang out at your house, but given the (narratively convenient) amount of coffeeshops in Darrow it’s not hard to find a place outside of home to spend time with people. Pulled back a lot on socializing with her classmates once the sex cult rumors got started, but she tries not to be a loner. Really likes a good number of her coworkers at the restaurant, but the boss is kind of a jerk.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: Pretty high for both!
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? An even balance--she likes spending time at home/hanging out at her close friends’ places (Charlie’s, Sabrina’s, Caleb’s, possibly Jamie’s now that he’s moved out of the Home), but she won’t turn down an invitation out dancing or to the movies or coffee or something.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? Your typical slate of high school classes (English, History, Math, Biology, etc), along with Choir, French, and Journalism as her electives.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? No pets of her own, but Neil’s dog Beau lives at Candlewood with them, and she takes him out for walks or to the dog park whenever Neil isn’t able to do it.
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? She’s told a few people, but right before she came to Darrow, she’d been trapped in a different pocket universe that may or may not have been the fantasy world her neighbor had spent years creating (spoiler: it definitely was), thanks to a weird portal built by a time-travelling fugitive. Look, her canon is REAL weird, just go with it. I want to have her learn more about what Anterwold was/is and some of the things that happen to her after the point I pulled her from, but I need to reread her canon and work out how to make that happen.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Her usual inclination is to stay out of trouble, but given some of the people she hangs out with (read: Sabrina), it’s usually more trying not to get caught.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Favorite is definitely the fact her parents aren’t here to disapprove of her choices and/or keep her from doing what she wants to do. She hates that she can’t leave, because she’s always wanted to have a bunch of exciting adventures all over the world, but Darrow also has enough excitement on its own. Right now, the most difficult thing to adjust to has been not having Nick around--she’d gone through other disappearances before, but this was her first really big one and it hurt a lot.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. I really want to deepen her friendships with Rue and Maeve! Also, given how close she is with Jamie, it’s ridiculous that she and Eddie haven’t threaded...at all? I think at all.
What else should we know about you? Rosie is an absolute sweetheart who doesn’t always realize her own worth, but she’s getting better at that.

Occupation: Senior at Barton University (majoring in history and slated to graduate at the end of the fall term, thanks to his transfer credits from Yale), works part-time at the Museums of Darrow doing visitor services stuff (selling tickets, sitting at the front desk, helps out with special events on the weekends and evenings, occasionally gets roped into helping the education staff with programs). Formerly the Virgil (most senior member) of Lethe House, not that it matters to anyone here in Darrow. No, he’s not bitter about that, stop asking.
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: So many. Magic and the supernatural is the biggest one, but he’s canonically ridiculously athletic (running, fencing, jujitsu, boxing) and plays a bunch of instruments (piano, cello, upright bass, oud, guitar). Reads a lot, loves doing research and digging into interesting/mysterious things from the past. Now that Black Elm is here, he and Alex have been spending a lot of time and money fixing it up and re-furnishing it to suit both of their tastes. Danny’s trying to be okay with Alex’s desire to repaint 90% of the place and make it less like a big gloomy museum.
Relationship status: Extremely taken by one Alex Stern.
Daily activities, routines, habits: Goes for a several-mile run each morning (at home, it was around six miles, but he’s scaled back in Darrow), usually with Kirby in tow; frequents the Barton U fitness center a few times a week. Spends a lot of time working on various house projects with or without Alex. Tends to go to bed early-ish, but stays up later when Alex has an evening shift at the club to make sure she can reach him if she needs him.
Places you can be found frequenting: Barton U, the museum, the library (both Darrow Public Library and the Barton library), the countryside now that he’s moved out to Black Elm. Gets grave dirt from the Necropolis on a regular basis to maintain the wards on Black Elm and Alex’s old apartment in the Bramford Building, but tries to rotate whose grave he’s taking from so none of the Darrow ghosts build up a connection to him. Likes the inventory at Leviathan a lot more than some of the other magic shops in town, but has recently started frequenting all of them in search of ingredients to make Hiram’s Bullet.
Places you never go, if any: Alex has convinced him to come see her at the strip club she works at maybe once or twice, but he’s still not that comfortable going. Anywhere else Kavinsky is likely to be, initially for irrational hatred reasons but now for very rational hatred reasons, thank you.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Darlington tries very hard to be polite and personable and charming, but he’s also extremely curious about anything having to do with the uncanny. If your pup is in any way supernaturally inclined, he’ll find it very hard to resist asking questions that may be a little too prying. He’s always very well put-together, even in jeans and a t-shirt (not that many people aside from Alex see him in jeans and a t-shirt), and he’s always wearing a hand-wound wristwatch with a mother-of-pearl face.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Alex Stern, Caleb Michaels, Blue Sargent, Newt Kavinsky, probably Marianne Sheridan on occasion.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? Doesn’t spend a lot of time on social media, but texts frequently and stays on top of his email inbox. Will call people fairly often, but most of the people he’s closest to seem more likely to text, so he adapts to their preferences.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? Even when he had his assigned apartment in Dimera, he didn’t spend a lot of time there--he and Alex all but moved into the Bramford together from almost the first day, and aside from the times they’ve had awful fights/broke up for a while, he’s been staying there. They kept the Dimera apartment as a secondary warded place in town, up until Black Elm showed up out in the countryside. At the end of July, Darlington closed out his lease and he and Alex moved to Black Elm (while keeping the Bramford apartment as their warded place in the city).
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? Despite being outwardly personable and friendly, Darlington much, much prefers observing others rather than being social (or performing the ritual of himself, as canon puts it, which is oddly perfect). He’s so deeply protective of Black Elm that he’ll almost never invite anyone over unless you’re extremely close to him (Alex has probably had more people over in the last month than he did in the last five years back home), but if you see him out and about he’ll be happy to grab coffee or something.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: Friends and acquaintances, definitely; strangers are a slightly harder lift but given the right motivations he’ll do it.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? Staying home, as much as possible.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? He’s tried to find Darrow analogues to a lot of the kinds of history classes he’d have taken back in New Haven; lots of 19th & early 20th century stuff, with a focus on industry. Enrolled in a Geography of Darrow class for the purposes of understanding the city and any possible links to magical nexuses (aside from the ley line). Is also taking a literature class and a Portuguese class for fun.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? He and Alex adopted a large black hound mix a few months ago from an adoption event in Petros Park. His real name is Kerberos, but they both pretty much exclusively call him Kirby.
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? I feel like most people wouldn’t know about how many instruments he can play, as described a few questions up! Additionally, he’s incredibly good at languages: fluent or near-fluent in Latin, Greek, Dutch, French, and Mandarin, but his Portuguese right now is just “passable”. Very few people here or back in New Haven know about everything he did to survive and keep Black Elm running after his grandfather died and his parents effectively abandoned him, or that he’s estranged from his parents at all--he does a good job of covering or avoiding the topic entirely.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Try not to get caught, absolutely. This would be easier if he had access to some of the magical artifacts in Lethe’s collection (looking at you, coins of compulsion), but he does well enough.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? He loves the mysterious pocket universe nature of Darrow to an annoying degree, but he’s also extremely upset he can’t go home and that no one else from Lethe aside from Alex is here. Now that Black Elm is back, he’s a little happier, but Darrow is not New Haven and he loves New Haven more than practically anything else in the world.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. I want to see what comes out of his conversation (and any future ones) with Norah Tendulkar, because they’re either going to be Spooky Research Friends or be annoyed by one another (probably both) and I’m very excited. Danny should also get more involved with the Archive crew--his conversation with Eliot a while back was great, and given that Alex and Kat are friends, that’s another point of connection there. More broadly, he could really use more friends that weren’t Alex’s friends first, no matter how hilarious I find it that almost nobody here wants to hang out with the Gentleman of Lethe.
What else should we know about you? Look, he’s a snob and pretty awkward in a way that reads as standoffishness a lot of the time, but he’s trying hard to be better. Alex keeps him from being too bad, most of the time. Mostly.

Although, because they both enjoy soaking up other people talking a little more than starting conversations themselves, I feel like their first encounter with each other might be catching the other people-watching. Which could be hilarious, really. Grantaire probably would comment on it, because he does interject.
On the wrong journal: Blue is curious about what Kavinsky did to move from irrational hatred to rational hatred. GOSSIP. She has to re-evaluate this truce like, quarterly. (Oh, man, if Darlington only knew some of the OTHER things Kavinsky has done. Jfc.)
no subject
There's no way Blue would have heard this from Darlington in-game (I'm not even sure at this point if he knows she and Kav are even from the same place? If he does, he probably got REAL prickly very abruptly and refused to elaborate, so XD), but Kavinsky sold Alex the fentanyl she overdosed on back in June.
Alex made him swear up and down that he wasn't going to go after Kav and he's tried to stick to that, but he definitely thinks seriously about going to the cops and reporting him on a semi-regular basis. Early on, he also sincerely wished he had at least one of the Lethe spirit hounds here in Darrow so he could set it on him, but that's an impulse that's mostly faded now. Kind of. Pretty much. Don't tell Alex.

OOF. Blue definitely doesn't know that, no, or that he's actively dealing anything more than just supplying party favors to his friends (which, I'm not sure he is or not, but also: Kavinsky, you can dream up any drugs you want! You could make them impossible to OD on! Out of character I'm sure this would have ruined a plot device, but in character that still has reprecussions, like, y'know, Danny hating him), and it would CERTAINLY change her opinion to know that. Which could be interesting but would have to come from someone else, alas.
Re: knowing if they're from the same place -- I'm not sure if he would? I have to go scour that Cabeswater post to see if she mentioned Kavinsky, but I don't think so. It's possible she might have mentioned his dreaming but even so that wouldn't have necessarily given away that they're from the same place. ALEX knows, I think, or at least should have been able to put it together by now if Blue didn't say it outright (again, would have to check threads), and Blue knows from her mentioning it that Darlington doesn't like him, but I don't think she's specifically said as much.
Despite her having struck up a tentative truce with Kavinsky (BASED ON APPARENT GOOD BEHAVIOR AND MATURING AHEM) she would like to assure Darlington, OOC, that if she had access to spirit hounds there are many many times she would have wanted to do the same thing. Just because he doesn't remember kidnapping and threatening to kill the brother of one of her best friends doesn't mean he didn't DO it. Or lots of the stuff he did in Henrietta that this Kav WAS there for.

Note: I do NOT speak Portuguese. :D

Occupation: Manager of Un Chat Gris, technically a property owner but Blue doesn't see that as an occupation so much as a weird circumstance. Junior at Barton.
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Sewing, altering clothing and other fiber arts; hiking; parkour; all things nature; fairly radical politics; playing with kittens; the ley line and other things altogether ooky; anything to do with her friends
Relationship status: dating Kat Rance! (insert they were roommates joke here)
Daily activities, routines, habits: Blue has the closest thing to a routine of most of mine. She tends to wake up fairly close to dawn on workdays, not being a particularly sound sleeper, and takes Copper for a run or occasionally goes on a free running route. Then depending on her schedule, she'll work at Un Chat Gris for a while or go to classes (which, obviously, she hasn't been doing in the summer), then, usually, switch, unless she isn't working at the cafe until the evening. She drinks a lot of tea and coffee, both from Un Chat and other places. She has a break somewhere in the day where she'll poke in on Kat or another friend and/or go home to check on the pets. Sometimes she goes to the gym, and she usually gives herself some weekend freedom now that she can do that.
Places you can be found frequenting: Un Chat Gris, Barton campus, sometimes the Archive, Off The Wall, Cabeswater, Phoenix Records, vintage shops and fabric shops all over the place, nurseries (like, for plants), magic stores sometimes, spots along the ley line recently.
Places you never go, if any: Nowhere specific, although she wouldn't be super keen on Harley's ex-cabin and she tries to avoid the hospital for both obvious and less obvious reasons.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying?
#1 thing people should notice about Blue: She's LITTLE. 5 feet in stompy boots. I almost wish that I could put first impressions in her icons so that new friends know this because she is NOTICABLY SMOL
#2 (maybe #1 if you're psychic or otherwise powered and not at all if you're not): She is a psychic amplifier, so she boosts the powers and, particularly, the clarity and ease of access to psychic energy around her. #2a: This tends to attract things like ghosts to her, so she probably has a ghost entourage some or even most of the time, but she can't see them. It could potentially attract some nasty things too, but we haven't played with that much
yet.#3: Her clothes are slightly eccentric. When she was younger this was more like a raver and a thrift store addict had a child; these days the thrifted and DIY look isn't GONE but she's a little mellower and more mature. She loves bright colors, altered clothing, botanical and floral prints, dangly earrings, visible mending, loud pins. Maximalism.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Kat, Mad Sweeney, Punz, The Guerins ;D, Darlington, the various Archive staff but particularly John and Martin...I'm probably forgetting people.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? She uses email for work and school and checks daily, and does answer her phone. She sends texts much more often than calling anyone. She has a Chirpr that she largely uses for keeping up with Darrow politics and acerbic observations on humanity, and the cat cafe has a Suddengram that she runs.
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? She and Kat both started out in Chelsea Cloisters, but they've moved into a different, shared apartment in the same building. No real headcanon about the NPC neighbors, but she lives near Zoe, Steve and maybe Theon (? if that's still accurate) so there are some opportunities there!
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? She tends to readily start a conversation with people she's seen more than once, and will often also take on the job of introducing people to Darrow. Blue isn't picky about where she socializes; she's not a huge partier or drinker, but she will go out for cocktails; the closer she is to her friends the more she shares about herself and that includes space. Typically Blue goes from acquaintance to best friend at full throttle; if she's indifferent about someone she doesn't tend to small talk.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: With friends, very likely; with complete strangers who aren't customers, a little less so but not totally unwilling. Depends on the circumstances.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? A little bit of both? She'd rather be out in nature than out at a club, though.
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? I actually made her whole college career up! This semester it's:
JRN 240 - Creative Non-Fiction
SOC 300 - Claims and Evidence in Sociology
EEB 329 - Sensory Ecology
DAN 208 - Body and Language
These classes are stolen wholesale from the Princeton catalogue (though I knew she was going to take Creative Non-Fiction).
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? Hahaha YES. She has:
Copper - A 4 year old foxhound-lab mix, a bit quiet but friendly and instinctively careful of disabilities. There are a few dogs in Darrow, like Shannon and Macha, that she recognizes better than Blue knows their owners.
Persephone - an extremely fluffy white cat with mismatched eyes that Blue adopted as a kitten from a box of them Kavinsky found. Persephone is mostly deaf, occasionally looks at things that no one else can see, and is fondly tolerant of Copper, though oddly seems to prefer Elan.
Three Levitating Rats once belonging to Bay Kennish, then Noah Czerny and now Blue
and who should almost certainly be dead but I haven't had the heart to off themElan, a smol black
soot spriterabbit that used to belong to Tris and who has the run of the house whenever Blue's home. What are some things about you others might not be aware of? Various people may know various things -- Blue doesn't keep secrets as much as she doesn't tell everyone everything. They may not know she's a psychic amplifier, or that her mother and aunts were psychics. They almost certainly don't know that her father is part tree-spirit, since she only found that out second-hand and so it largely doesn't compute for her. They may or may not know that she was foretold to kill her true love with a kiss. Other trivia: that she worked at a pizza place, the town she grew up in was weirdly split between rich boarding school kids and working-class rural folk, that she would not have been able to go to college if not for Darrow, that she'd never left Henrietta.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Trouble usually finds her, but she's not averse to diving in, sometimes literally.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Least favorite is that she can't go beyond its boundaries. She misses home, but she has always wanted to travel, since she was a little kid, and it seems unfair that now she's an adult and has her own income she just -- can't.
Well, and the disappearances. She's lost a lot of people she loves. But she loves the people she's met here, both those that are still here and those that have gone; she even sort of loves the magic of the place.
Hardest to adjust to is probably, honestly, the ability of people to pop up from different points in the same timeline as each other. And people disappearing.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. Daisy, Eliot, for Archive reasons. I'd love to develop her friendship with Darlington more, I'd love for her to do more politics with Molly (and anyone who wants to talk politics). I think we had a tentative plan for Neil McC to be in her Creative NonFiction class. But really anyone!
What else should we know about you? Um...? I headcanon that she loved Princess Leia as a kid, which is unfortunately also a reason that I have trouble playing her off the Star Wars crew even though I'd like to.

Name and aliases: Lady Julia Lindsay MacKenzie Wallace Beaufort-Stuart, Julie to most
Occupation: writer, currently shopping her first novel around
Outside activities, hobbies, interests: Reading, eating, movies, live shows, shopping
Relationship status: Married to Napoleon Solo
Daily activities, routines, habits: She’s quit her job to become a Real Author, so she has to make it a point to get out of the house every day. She changes it up a lot, to avoid boredom.
Places you can be found frequenting: Coffee shops, the library, vintage shops, lost in transit to or from anywhere
Places you never go, if any: IDK do we have a prison? It would be hard to get her to go there on purpose.
What are some personal tics, things others might notice about you in passing, whether in conversation or otherwise? Is there anything you're always (or often) wearing or carrying? Her scars have faded some, but she still often wears silk scarves around her throat and/or long sleeves to hide them, but sometimes she doesn’t care who sees. (These are many small triangular burns, made by a soldering iron on her throat and the insides of her wrists.) She still wears mostly dresses and skirts, mostly of a 1940s-ish vintage, because she knows what she likes and has little interest in not standing out from the crowd. She might have the only Scottish accent in town; she has no interest in losing that, either.
People seen/contacted on a regular basis: Solo, obviously. Julia, probably. Daniel Sousa. She needs more people.
Do you check your email? How often? Do you answer your phone? Send texts? Know how it works? What, if any, other social media/networking do you use? Who was the last person you texted? Checks email at least once, most days. Always answers her phone. In fact, prefers an actual chat over text. Text are mostly naughty ones to and from her husband, who probably is the last person she texted. Has no clue about social media, what is that?
Do you still live in your assigned apartment? Who are your neighbors? What kinds of interactions do you have with them? No, she moved out of Candlewood a long time ago, to some fairly upscale building that never got a name but definitely has a doorman.
Do you prefer to socialize at home? Elsewhere? Not at all? Do you interact with classmates/co-workers or keep to yourself? Will socialize anywhere. Seriously. Any. Where. Loves to host dinner parties the most.
Likelihood you'll strike up a conversation a) with friends or b) with strangers: Nearly 100% with anybody.
Go out a lot or mostly stay home? 50/50
What classes, if any, do you attend (or teach)? None anymore.
Do you have any pets? Indoor or outdoor? None at this time, but someday they’re going to move to the countryside and she wants some chickens. Maybe a few goats. Possibly a horse.
What are some things about you others might not be aware of? She is WAY nerdier than she looks, mostly in a bookish way but if there is a stupid joke to be made she will make it. And laugh at it herself even if nobody else does.
Do you get into trouble, stay far out of it, or just not get caught? Mostly staying out of it these days, but isn’t averse to jumping in. Really doesn’t care for getting caught, though.
Favorite things about Darrow? Least favorite? Most difficult to adjust to? Favorite is seeing the future and getting to live in it. Least favorite is not being able to have any contact with her family, and the way people disappear. She’s pretty well adjusted at this point, but still sometimes boggles at the infinite variety of coffee drinks.
Name at least two people you should meet or get to know better. She’s lost a lot of people and I have been remiss in getting her new ones. She just needs more friends.
What else should we know about you? She’s recently finished writing a novel and is now shopping it around to find an agent/publisher. Everyone who’s saying no to it now is going to be sorry when it’s a huge hit.
