Well, you'll have to share those ideas with me. Different people have different definitions of casual, after all.

And a job is a great idea, but they don't let anyone starve around here. It's creepy, but everyone gets a bank account. It's not a very big one. But it's more than I've ever had before.

I have high standards. You might want to be careful what you promise.

I wouldn't promise if I wasn't confident. I'm confident.

You know. Money and everything. You usually don't just get given money as a prize just for existing another month.

Athlete? Manual labor? Surely you don't have those muscles simply for show.

Bet I could beat you in arm wrestling, though.

I'm gorgeous and well-coordinated. Pro-bending. The Fire Ferrets. We even made it to the championship. And would have won it, if it weren't for Tahno being a terrible sportsman and also the universe. Problem is, it got us more attention than it did cash. We just started professionally this year, we've had to buy everything we need. But you probably don't need to hear my life story.

I'd love to see you beat me in arm-wrestling. That's my kind of woman.

I like a man who knows when he's gorgeous. My type of man, I guess. Although I think this might be the first time I've met a man who actually prefers a woman who's able to go up against him in strength.

Aren't pro athletes supposed to find sponsors? That's why the personality matters as much as the ability, right?

[uncritical]

I like the way it feels. To be able to meet someone like that on equal ground. Or at least, I want to measure up to someone.

Well, sponsors. We eventually managed to find one of those. That's sort of an awkward, kind of depressing subject on this side. All I really want to say is that the problem with sponsorship is that you can never really be sure what you're being made to stand for. That makes me uncomfortable.

Setting goals is good. I don't know if I care as much about standing on even ground like that, but it's a nice idea. You always want to be able to support that other person as much as they support you.

As for sponsors... sometimes an ugly start can still lead to something better in the long run. You never know.
