MEME: Reverse Questions

Muns: Post here listing all of the characters you play (you might want to list journals, too, just for reference) or are thinking of playing.

Everyone: Ask the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR PUPS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this pup?", "How do you channel them?", etc.) You can even have pups ask the questions, but ANSWERS are coming from the MUNS.

For the last time we did this one, check out the tag.

BONUS: For a voice post meme twist, use sites like Clyp and Chirbit to answer with voice clips instead!

The things that annoy her are often different facets of the things she loves about each of them! Sabrina's tendency towards impulsivity, especially when it comes to feeling like she needs to put herself in danger to help or save the people she loves, is annoying, but Rosie loves how passionate and dedicated she is. With Nick, he can be a little insufferable about the things he knows or can do (in a way that Rosie begrudgingly recognizes as similar to the way she can be sometimes), but she adores the fact that he has this genuine love for it all too. Charlie can be frustratingly easygoing about things that Rosie cares so much about or sees as these huge problems, but it makes him this very steady rock of a person within their group in a way that Rosie knows they all need.

Throwing in Neil as well because he's her closest person outside the Sex Cult, she gets annoyed by how he can't seem to settle sometimes (romantically or otherwise), but she loves that he both has the freedom to do with his life what he wants to here and that he's grabbed onto it with both hands and is just...refusing to let it go.

Switching gears, YES you need to read Ninth House, it is very good! I have seen folks familiar with both the Raven Cycle and Ninth House say that Darlington is kind of...Gansey but in college? I assume this is a good thing, but I have not read any of the Raven Cycle (I know, I know) so I cannot say for sure! But yeah, they should definitely meet and Darlington will probably annoy her right back--but, you know, in hopefully a good way.

This all makes perfect sense!

That's exactly how your description of him read to me -- sort of a little Gansey and a little Quentin (or at least, TV universe Quentin) from The Magicians -- and ...wooo. It'll both be a very good thing and a bit terrifying for her, since Gansey is (one of, we support multiple true loves in this household) Blue's True Love and she's lost him twice and a half now! Having someone else show up bearing so many aspects of what she loves/frustrates her about him (much like Rosie's people!) may unsettle her a lot.

Needless to say I'M EXCITED. UPHEAVAL.

Also yes read the Raven Cycle! It's perhaps a little weird for me to say a four-book series is a fast read but it really kind of is, it tugs you right in, and you already know you like rich assholes who are actually disarmingly earnest and want to Do Big Things, so.

Yeah, I tried reading another Maggie Stiefvater book (Scorpio Races) and didn't care for it to the degree that I bailed on the book only a few chapters in, which is something I do so rarely that it made me wary of picking up her other stuff. But that was also a few years ago, so it's probably more than worth trying her writing again!

She does have a really distinct style that’s not for everyone, and although I really enjoyed the Scorpio Races, it ...can marinate in its own Gritty Lore and Sullen Male Lead a bit, especially before Puck takes the reins of the story, pun only kind of intended. I don’t know if that’s where you got put off or not.

I will say too that the first book of TRC has a bit of a ‘pilot episode’ feel to it, like it’s not sure if it’s supposed to be a supernatural teen romance or something very not that, especially after having written mostly YA supernatural romance previously. Ultimately despite the Destiny and True Love and all that it becomes very much not that, so I will say if you can make it to the second book before making up your mind on it, it’s worth it.

But! Not all things are for all people, and I certainly wouldn’t be offended if you DIDN’T like it. XD
