Back home, he was my fiance, but here, we're just boyfriends again. He's from an earlier time than I am.

I mean, some people might care, but no one in our town has had a problem with us, which helps.

Nothing like that is going on, I promise. David and I haven't had to worry about anything like that, not even in the towns that might not accept us.

It's accepted, yeah. You can love anyone you want to and choose to be with them and it's not always perfect or accepted, but no one's dying for it where I come from in Canada.
