Real confession time, though: This is easier than I thought it would be. I'm almost afraid that means we've done something wrong. Was it supposed to be this easy? Was it supposed to feel like just this natural step, and not some big, earth-shattering revelation?

I think it's 'cause we're not used to shit being easy. When have we ever had that? But you and him...it's always felt like stepping into water. No resistance. It's where I ought to be.

People always say they can't imagine their lives without the people they love. But I can so easily. It would have been so easy for me to not be here, to have been here with someone else, to have not stumbled into you.

And it makes me realize I wouldn't change anything, even the parts that hurt. None of it.
