MEME: Most Wanted
Darrow's Most Wanted list is a constant work in progress, and one which isn't complete at present. This meme is your opportunity to add to it in a more detailed manner.
Comment to this post with the names and canons of characters you would especially like to see in the City. Whether you're simply listing or you're posting extensive essays complete with pictorial evidence (gifs) of why these characters need to be apped, anything goes. The more, the merrier!

I’ve had too much alcohol to elaborate further.
Bulma Briefs- Dragon Ball
But Darrow needs Bulma Briefs. Who WOULDN'T want to play a badass, genius scientist who not only invented time travel in her universe, but has capsule technology (cars, houses, big items can be shrunk down to the size of a pill for easy transport!) Plus, she takes no shit from anyone, even her egotistical, fighting obsessed husband (and he misses her so much, OMG)
Basically she generates her own plot, what with being a billionaire, genius inventor who's bubbly and good with people. GIMME.

DONNY NOVITSKI, BANDSTAND
Bandstand is a really overlooked gem of a show about a group of World War II vets, all dealing with their respective traumas, who form a band to enter a contest, led by Donny. Corey Cott — yeah, Kevin from Riverdale's brother — gives honestly one of the most underrated performances I've ever seen as such a dynamic character, ranging from cocky as hell to panicked and falling apart, and I would really love to see him in game, for reasons that definitely are not even a little bit selfish nope. A proshot exists of this musical that's allegedly going to be released at an unspecified time in the near-ish future, but if anyone needs the hookup in the meantime, let me know. >_>

Are you interested in playing the equivalent of a golden retriever or a honey badger, respectively? Look no further than Jack and Little Red Riding Hood from Into the Woods! Respectively!
Jack is here for people who want to play a good-natured but slightly dim lad who trusts too easily and thinks cows are people. And if you're looking at the murder teens plot and thinking, 'but what about a murder... tween...?' then Red has got your back. Fool her once, shame on her. Attempt to fool her again, she'll pull a knife.
If you're looking for more modern musical fare, I would also very much enjoy an Evan Hansen from Dear Evan Hansen. He's a socially-awkward botany nerd who accidentally gets himself embroiled in a Very Big Lie, and spends far too long just kinda going with it because he likes the attention it nets him, so there's plenty to sink your teeth into. Maybe Darrow could allow him to make some real friends and be honest with people and catalog some new trees.
Also, I know this is preemptive because it's not even out yet, but once it is, bring me literally everyone from Mary Poppins Returns.

And I mean, 'Ponine and Red would certainly get on so big ups for that too.
X Company
Look at these beautiful badass spies. You’ve got Tom, the American ad man, using propaganda for the cause. Aurora, team leader who is a ruthless as she needs to be. Alfred, with his perfect memory and smelling of colors and seeing of sounds. Precious engineer/wireless man Harry. And Neal the muscle, taking on the hardest parts of missions for as long as he can to spare the rest of the team.
I promise spy shenanigans.

Twin Peaks
Shelly McCauley Johnson Briggs: Either from the original series or the revival! (Though obviously I'm biased towards the revival, for reasons.) She's a great character who tends to get sidelined a lot, as is the case with ensemble shows, and also Bobby misses her like hell.
Dale Cooper: THE MOST WONDERFUL MAN IN EXISTENCE. And Darrow has so much weird shit, there'd be so much for him to do, it would be great.
Also literally anyone, it's such a good show, there are so many great characters, gimme

As far as non-Tortallans Daine would find interesting...
Rosie from Robin McKinley's Spindle's End would be a real treat. Rosie is the princess in a retelling of Sleeping Beauty, who's sent to live in a relative backwater while a bunch of clever wizards try to figure out how to circumvent the curse placed on her as a baby. She grows up a stolid village girl, far more interested in apprenticing with the local blacksmith than doing anything remotely princess-y, meaning that the only fairy gift that she makes much use of is an accidental, panicked gift of the ability to talk to animals.
This book is excellent and full of wonderful characters and solid worldbuilding
that I've lowkey cribbed off of on a few occasions, and I'd love honestly anyone from the book, but especially Rosie. Also, just read it anyway. It's SO GOOD.no subject

How did I miss a Robin McKinley retelling? Her books are my catnip.

RON. SWANSON.
Would he hate everyone in Darrow? Yes. Would he just want to build a cabin in the woods and live out the rest of his life in solitude and away from everyone? Yes.
Could you have a lot of fun making sure none of those things happen? ABSOLUTELY.

She-ra and the Princesses of Power
Literally anyone from this show please. I binged it between Black Friday Recovery and OLAWD I LOVE IT??? It's like the best parts of Steven Universe with bonus badass princesses who give a shit about each other. LITERALLY ANYONE PLEASE. BOW. GLIMMER. ADORA. CATRA. SCORPIA. ANYONE OH MY GOD.
Steven Universe
I know we had a Steven briefly, but I'd lovelovelove to see any of the Crystal Gems crash into Darrow. Most especially Garnet, bc she's my goddess and everything I strive to be. But also Pearl, bc I can imagine how much she'd hate it here, and Peridot, bc she'd be so fascinated and annoyed at the same time, and Lapis, who needs so many friends, and Amethyst, bc she'd love it here. Any of them really, would be amazing.
A Quiet Place
Still. Again. Always. I might still eventually bring Regan in myself, but I NEED TO GET MY SHIT TOGETHER so someone please beat me to it! And also her parents plsplspls and her teeny tiny brothers. Marcus could seriously benefit from a rescue from his world, otherwise he might shake apart. Regan needs so many friends and the chance to see what it's like to just be a teenager?? And have friends?? And go to prom??? PLEASE!!!

Lee and Evelyn are trying so hard to make sure their kids survive, not least of all because they've already lost one (look, it's not a spoiler if it happens before the title card), and they both blame themselves for it. She's generally a bit warmer than her husband, but is also a total fucking badass when the situation calls for it. Lee plays his emotions closer to his chest, but he'd do anything for his family. The film only affords us glimpses of who they were before everything went to shit, but it would be REALLY INTERESTING to develop that side of them, and explore who they are when their lives are relatively normal. Plus, it would be kind of hilarious how quickly and thoroughly they'd both step up the moment Darrow tried to pull something.
Also, they're both babes, just look at them; EB spends this entire film backlit like a frigging angel.REGAN. Regan is dealing with so much, y'all. Aside from the fact that her world has gone all apocalyptic, she also blames herself for the death of her little brother -- and is reasonably certain her father blames her, too. She's brave, clever, and resourceful, and resents the fact that none of those things seem to matter when weighed against her deafness, which her father views as a potentially fatal weakness and is constantly trying to Fix. Because silence is essential, she has few outlets for her feelings, which makes everything worse. She deserves a slice of non-apocalyptic pie so badly, you guys.
Last but not least, say hello to Marcus, the most emotionally intelligent member of this entire dang family. It's easy to get caught up in what an anxious bean he is, but that's just a side effect of him knowing what is UP, in both the macro and the micro. He knows his sister blames herself for her brother's death, and he flat-out tells his dad to COMMUNICATE WITH HER (sound advice his dad is hesitant to take). He is also very! afraid! always! because he lives in a nightmare dystopia and he doesn't want to die. Please someone get him out of there and deposit him gently into Darrow, where things are only a nightmare dystopia like, once a year.

I would love to see more Deutschland 83/86 characters. Do you like shows about spies? Communism? Eighties music? Subtitles? Check out this show. I think the first season is on hulu and maybe amazon prime depending on your region. And then maybe app some of my children.
Alex Edel: Martin’s western buddy and terrible army officer who has leveled up from disaster gay to functional gay between ‘83 to ‘86. We’re very proud.
Lenora Rauch: Martin’s aunt and fellow spy. Snazzy dresser. Power lesbian. Would sell you for a pack of cigarettes. Is dating one of the Dora Milaje.
Rose Seithathi: The best agent south of the equator. Love of my (and Lenora’s) life. Stone cold. Takes no shit. 100% effective at killing racists. I mean, look at this power fist.
And nobody app this soap opera and Elvis loving asshole:
Unrelatedly, I also started watching Man in the High Castle and someone needs to rescue those people please. Darrow would legitimately be an improvement for those characters.

This glorious bitch.
Yeah, so she's dead, I'm sure Darrow could find her some kind of resurrection. Or not! Maybe she's just a temp character. Whatever the case, she is AMAZING, and Mad Sweeney definitely doesn't ever want to see her again or anything.
More than how selfishly I want her, I also think she's an incredible character. The depiction of her depression is real and genuine and she's not a good person, she does awful things to people and hurts them, but she's still not ever portrayed as the villain. The show does a really great job giving her a story beyond her depression and fleshing her out and creating a fully realized character, who is also depressed and who does some super shitty things. She's fantastic and interesting and I love her.

Tolkien characters are hard, so I will not ask for those, but if whoever has been playing around with Faramir in TD needs to work on voice or anything, I'm here to help. :D
In the realm of canons I don't play, Phryne Fisher would turn Darrow on its ear and love it. And I would love to watch that happen.

- I also want a Shelly from Twin Peaks, partially because I love her and partially because I was also already going to say I want FP Jones as played by Cole Sprouse and why not round out "Confusing Betty Cooper As Much as Possible"? (Or: get meta and bring young Shelly and have her hook up with young FP. I'M JUST SAYING. Sorry Scott.)
- I would really, really like anyone from Haunting of Hill House, particularly Theo or Nell but also Luke for fun with clones and junkie artists with OCD, or any of them as kids. Blue needs a psychometric or otherwise Sighted aunt figure back in her life! Lyall would be so perturbed! But also they're all so good:

I love that for so many of them it was their first big feature too? Both Nells and I think baby Luke as well. And they were all so PERFECT.
