Ah, yes, I see you the misunderstanding. [He laughs and claps Tony on the shoulder] I meant the Revengers. It is I, Bruce and Hulk, a Valkyrie, and my brother. He did, of course, attempt to betray me again but arrived with reinforcements during battle to fight at my side once again.

Connor tilts his head. "You know who built Darrow?" He hasn't been here long but he has seen and heard many strange things. It's possible this human was suffering from a psychosis of some kind... He could also be aware of details that could unravel the mystery of this place. Either way his approach would be the same. "Tell me about him?"

He manages a smile that turns into a grimace. "I can keep the pain at bay with certain charms," he says. "But only to a dull ache. I'm used to the pain by now."

"It's because I've seperated from the rest of the rifters," he explains. "The shards ache when we're apart. Or when rifts are nearby."

Aloy does not need to tap the Focus, a triangular device at her temple, in order to activate it. Instead, she turns toward him, dropping down in a crouch as she eyes him, the world suddenly overlaid by the familiar blues and purples of its holographic readouts.

He is not human and yet nothing like the mechanical creatures she has faced before.

What he is is approaching her and liking nothing of novelty when it's telling her to drop her weapons, her fingers tighten on her staff with its override device. She has not yet seen a cauldron that match his signature and so cannot hope to override his system, but she is not about to forget Rost's words and lose all caution.

"No," she tells him, her voice even but firm. Her eyes narrow "What are you?"
