MEME: Reverse Questions
Muns: Post here listing all of the characters you play (you might want to list journals, too, just for reference) or are thinking of playing.
Everyone: Ask the MUNS anything about the GAME or THEIR PUPS, because we all know the muns will answer when the characters won't. They can be specific questions ("How does he feel about her?") or general questions ("Why did you choose this pup?", "How do you channel them?", etc.) You can even have pups ask the questions, but ANSWERS are coming from the MUNS.
For the last time we did this one, check out the tag.
BONUS: For a voice post meme twist, use sites like Clyp and Chirbit to answer with voice clips instead!

Would Diana like to teach Daine any badass fighting moves? Or just have shootouts in the countryside? OR BOTH?
Tell me about Nova! I know nothing! What makes you want to play them?

First of all, the world of Brooklyn Brujas itself. It is everything I love about urban fantasy and, in some ways, it's very familiar to me. My mom is Catholic but she still believes in talismans and witches and syncretic religions fascinate me. That said, the Deos and the Cantos and all the magic of that world is very much NOT syncretic. The magic and the Deos are Mesoamerican, Afro-Latino and precolonial. The magic requires equivalence and the gods need offerings and blood for their favor. I've described the book before as "Pan's Labyrinth meets the Raven Cycle" because it's THAT kind of urban fantasy.
As for Nova himself. I mean...look at my roster, past and present. I'm a sucker for broken, charismatic men in fiction. And Noveno Santiago is charismatic and broken but it also doesn't excuse his actions. He fucks up and he fucks up bad. He does a lot of unforgivable shit that he regrets by the end and he tries to redeem himself but the narration makes it clear that while Alejandra doesn't condemn or necessarily hate him, it doesn't mean he's forgiven and excused.
Also. He walks into the narrative and you practically want to scream from all the coding that says "Here is the mysterious bad boy love interest." And then. HE. DOESN'T. GET. THE GIRL.
Also his magic is slowly eating him alive and will probably kill him sooner than later and isn't that fun to play?
