Please tell me everything about Anya's love life and where her mind/heart's at!

Anya's love life is a mess!! In the best way. Let's see, she's in love with both Gleb and Dmitry and has no idea what to do with that. There's a lot of history to unpack there, both with the time period she grew up in and also her background with both men. It is bemusing that her childhood overlaps with both of theirs so they are all linked together from the start. However at the moment, she and Gleb are in a relationship of sorts (it's almost courting, but different) which has been thrown for a loop by Dmitry's arrival and subsequent confession of love. Which she reciprocated and then yelled at him about. That is how she shows love. She yells at them and then kisses them.

Her mind is basically like "I cannot do this. I want both, but how does one do that? I won't choose between them." And she really doesn't want to pick one or the other and is also possessive. If they try to make her, she will pick neither, though she would prefer both no matter how scandalous that is. It seems very French. Anya doesn't love very easily, not after all that she has been through, but when she does love, she kind of never wants to let it go. Gleb and Dmitry are no exceptions (sorry boys).

(Grantaire would like to comment that it is VERY French. Though he has no real proof of that, except that two of the Amis canonically share one girlfriend, and he's dating two boys too. But he will say so with conviction.)

Grantaire's input is VERY important. Proof is for the damned, but she appreciates the conviction as she wants it so much. ALSO LOOK AT THEM.

THEY SHOULD! Hmm, I don't know what's a good opportunity, although she, Gleb and Dmitry all have reasons to get along with Edgar as well as Grantaire. What's Anya up to lately?

VIRGINIA, COME TO ME.

Actual question: will Virginia be Cassius's like second friend? What would you like to see happen between them?

I think that Virginia will eventually be Cassius' second friend. Or as much as they can be given how insanely complicated their history is. She's going to withhold the fact that she has a kid from him because, um, no. No one needs to know about Pax, thank you. Though it may come out eventually. However, she does believe that there are redeeming traits in Cassius, that his loyalty is just misplaced and they've both been misshapen by their upbringing. Their time together wasn't all for show in her mind. Virginia maintains she's not that much of a liar.

As for what I'd like to see happen between them, I'm not entirely certain. I think it will be interesting to see how their dynamic plays out with Darrow/Society/A War/Family between them. She doesn't think he's as cruel or callous as he pretends to be, but she's also not as gentle as she appears by comparison to the others so there's that. Virginia will find this world to be baffling, but accept it more readily as an academic case study. I think there are a lot of ways that their dynamic could go. Though she won't apologize for her future self shooting him because she apologizes for nothing that she doesn't remember doing.

So many people don't like or get Archie. What made him the Riverdale teen you wanted to play and how will he react to Veronica thinking they're broken up?

I will admit in most of the Archie I comics, I gravitate towards other characters rather than towards Archie. There is nothing wrong with Archie, but he's kind of a goober. In Riverdale, however, and this may be KJ Apa's knack for him, his endearing marshmallow nature just sort of won me over? Like he's a fundamentally good kid even if he is horrifyingly misguided in that way that teens so often are. Of all of the Riverdale teens, he seems to be the one that is most teenlike, if that makes sense. Jughead is genry savvy and Betty is clever and Veronica is 16-going on a 1950s 45. Which I mean as complements! Archie just tries so hard and is such an everyman which means sometimes he kind of blindly goes along with things and I find that to be interesting. There is something about that going along with it, can do attitude that I think will be interesting to play Darrow. Archie is a leader by accident and that's fun. He's not all that good at it which makes sense for a teenager!

As for Veronica, he will be kind of surprised and confused. Why would they break up? But he also falls in love with basically everything (also something I find to be endearing and interesting and want a chnace for him to basically fall in love through all the girls/women in Darrow. LET HIM DO THIS). But Ronnie is his friend and he will still be there for her and Betty. Or Her/Betty (Betteronica?). He's cool with it! Even if he will be a bit awkward.

What do you think Clarke and Octavia's relationship looks like currently?

WE SHOULD THREAD THEM. I am so down for a thread as it has been too long.

As for your question, I think that they are sisterly. Definitely better than it is in the show (ha ha ha not hard when this Clarke hasn't tried to kill Octavia). Clarke walks a little bit on eggshells as she's so far removed from what Octavia remembers and also O is Bellamy's sister and she wants her to like her even if they have different approaches. Clarke is gutsy but not a fighter by nature. So she tries! Probably has tried to get into Octavia's good graces with brownies, but she loves the hell out of bellamy and just wants them to get along.

Do you think Anya's kept in touch with Biffy or Lyall since the whole wolf thing?

Are you pulling Archie from prior to his dad getting shot or after?

Yes! I know that she has kept in touch with Biffy and I assume Lyall as well as what is not to like about Lyall and his subtle capableness (I just mainlined Lyall's canon and I love them so). Anya finds steadfastness to be instantly endearing and appreciates all that both of them did for her. It was wild and she kind of enjoyed it even if she likes sunshine a lot.

Immediately after, as of right now. I like the SHEER TRAUMA of it all. Covered in blood (or from when he was buried alive, depending on my rewatch feelings). Archie in the midst of a drama that is way over his head is interesting and I think here in Darrow he will finally get the therapy that precious boy desperately needs.

Lyall is quietly pleased at that assessment (yay canon! It's so fun and ...readable. Occasionally I feel like I'm actually failing to play Lyall close to the chest ENOUGH, but the writing style is so delightful to emulate). And hurrah for that. We should have them thread again sometime soon.

Dang, harsh! But I do also enjoy trauma. And yes, someone please send that boy to therapy. Maybe being told that there's another version of him who's taking care of his dad back in Riverdale, and not having his dad there to feel like he has to constantly watch, will keep him from diving off the deep end and becoming like, a teenage enforcer.
