Yeah. It was Pittsburgh before this, for a while. And a lot of places before that.

Huh. I've never been to Pittsburgh.

We just moved. To a place called Garrett. You've probably never heard of it, no one has, and it sucked anyway.

I hope it's better than a place called Hawkins.

I guess we're even. I don't know Hawkins.

It's not a good place, especially its butcher shop of a scientific lab.

They called part of Garrett Butcher's Block. I don't know about yours, but this was a pretty literal meaning.

Why did they call it that?

Well, originally, for the meat packing company in town. Back in, like, the '50s.

Then people started going missing. Everyone said "The Butcher" took them. They weren't wrong.
