On the fifteenth of every month, we have a Test Drive meme for all your future pup needs. However, several of you have been clamoring to try out a twist on that old, familiar theme!

Tag in with pups you currently play, and then tag others with pups you're contemplating apping in the future or just want to try out! This way, you can get the interactions you might want, between your future pups and those already in play! This month, you get twice the Test Drive fun.

Well, there's a sight for sore eyes.

...Kurt? Oh my god.

The one and only of the Hummel variety! That I know of, anyway.

...hey, Mindy. How've you been?

I'm... Danny left. I have a baby now.

[ the shock clearly registers on his face, though kurt does his best to temper it. he's not sure yet if it'd do any good — the righteous indignation he'd always felt when the city took someone dear, sometimes it only further stokes the fire. ]

[ mindy knows that kurt has been through something similar, at any rate, and maybe the knowledge of that empathy is enough, as well as the sight of it in his gaze. ]

Guess that means you've been busy. And that I'm massively behind on getting to know the little gal or guy.

[ after a moment's pause, he steps forward, enveloping mindy in a tight hug. ]

[Loss has been an enormous part of Mindy's life in Darrow of late and she can feel it weighing against her. Even with Leo around to lift her spirits, he's a reminder of what the both of them are missing in Danny's absence.

She hugs Kurt back without hesitating.]

I've missed you like crazy.

[ kurt's hugs are often polite and careful — but not this time. he continues to hug her fiercely, threading his fingers through mindy's hair in a gentle, comforting motion. ]

I've missed you, too. I'm sorry I left. I wouldn't have, if given the choice.

[Of course Mindy starts to cry. She's cried more in the past half year than an entire lifetime, and she's been dumped and listened to Les Mis a lot.]

Elle's gone, too. And Sawyer.

[ kurt pauses, letting the news sink in. he never really got to know sawyer — didn't seem like they'd have much in common — but he knows how much sawyer meant to mindy. and naturally, he knows how much elle matters — a friend through and through. ]

I'm so sorry, Mindy. That's always... this place is just cruel. I wish I could pull you out of it. Take you somewhere more stable.

[Mindy shakes her head. That thought is too risky.]

Leo might not be there.

My son, [she adds with a small smile.] Not Di Caprio.

...I. I get that.

[ as much as he can, anyway. kurt's never had children of his own, but he can see that being something he wouldn't want to endanger, ever. in that, he's sure he takes after his dad. ]

[ he offers a small smile. ]
