Christina doesn't really put much thought into a costume; she grabs a pair of cheap wings from one of the local chain stores and throws on some glitter and calls it a day. She could put more effort in, but the fact is, she knows she's just going to stuff her face with candy anyway, so why waste the make-up in the first place?

She arrives to the party and downs a couple of pumpkin spice flavored shots of some kind; immediately, warmth overtakes her and puts her at ease.

Which is when she spots Raven, hanging over by the pool table.

"Hey," she says, making her way over and waving. Raven glances up, smiles, and then pales. It takes Christina a second to realize why she's staring; the plastic angel wings on her back. She winces.

"Oh, shit," she says. "I should have come up with a better costume idea. I'm sorry."

As a way of making it up to her, she buys her a drink. And brings her a slice of cake she'd found at a table.

They sit and they bond over angel wings, real and otherwise.
